It been said several times before but Cannacopia's BC Roadkill is definately some funky stuff at times. Just finished some and although the final smell after a cure (to me) is not RKS its definately loud and something you need caution with when handling or transporting. It did however a couple of weeks before harvest smell like a skunk that had been hit about a week ago (kinda a faint RKS but it was SKUNK no doubt at that time). So I need to explore the genepool more (I have 5 beans left). I only had 3 females this go around as I lost the other two plants at an early age to some varmits so i'm not sure what their sex was. I did however breed my favorite 1 to my Garlic Breath male (Hogsbreath x Chem D) and i'll be checking out these VA SkunkHog beans out shortly. I'm hoping they bring more funk to the skunk ;). If I find some reekers i'll F2 the strain and send some in to IC for the community and all the Skunkheads. Don't worry the search for the old RKSs continues but some new RKSs are being created while we search. GL to everyone on the hunt and take care 1

Texas seems to be mentioned a lot ???? Hmm.

I grew up in Texas and the last RKS I had was in November 1988.
Lime-green buds with a taste thats can't be described.We used to get 1/4 pounds for $200 to $250 between 1983 to 1988.

I live in San Francisco now and a skunk(s) lives along the bay by my work.
One big fat one makes his way up to a patch of trees right outside our door and sprays from time to time, leaving our entire building reaking.

All my co workers are shocked when I say how much I love the smell!!

Miss the good old days.

Me too..espeacailly the bud,,, Funny you say this lime green bud. I'm wondering if it's the same stuff I had WOW that shit was one of the best I have ever had and I only had about 1/2 ounce. No name but this colour and look I will never forget and I think the only bud I seen that even looked close to this was NYD.Just looks similar.stay safe headband 707:tiphat

this thread rocks and i also remember the rks which i last can remember being round 88-92 and remember seeing a friends plant and was amazed ,it looked nothing like any weed plant id seen beautiful bright green golf ball buds and down rjght stinky bitch which he grew for many years but the funny thing was most people moved on to the afghan ,superskunk craze that was going down and i think the old farmer stopped growing it which was a shame anyhow giving cannacopia rks a run just to see what i can find

It is amazing how much we all look, but still can't find her. I know she existed at one time, but it has been so long ago now. You would think someone would still have her, or at least buy a small batch and report it. But still nothing. I understand the net is a small portion of growers so she could still be out there, just it isn't looking to promising at the moment. I sure hope I am wrong, but may be there has to be a roll of the dice and her genetics to come to the surface again. I guess will just have to keep looking.

maybe the kush mania is to blame for notbeing able to find proper dead animal smelling skunk weed?

A friend gave me a cut of this. Haven't seen this stuff since the mid 80s. It smells like a skunk pissing contest. It REALLY stinks. So bad that growing it outdoors would really piss off the neighbors. The buzz was very up and energetic.

This shot is at day 42 of 12/12.

Hope you'll agree that this is it.

Have a look .

I'm of the age where I remember the Roadkill Skunk but have not seen anything close to it since the early nineties; Until, a friend from Vancouver Island Brought up a couple joints last summer, I could smell 2 j's in his shirt pocket downstairs behind a closed door! The stone was a nullifying indica couch-lock. My friend doesn't grow but said he picked this up at a Nanaimo area med-co-op..
Dr Greenthumbs Iranian Indica approaches the stank factor. The Stone from the Iranian is pure Indica , very strong body high , but not the near hallucinogenic experience I recall from the RKS. Growing the Iranian takes some planning for the smell I could smell 1 plant growing 100 meters away and it gets worse when curing. Perhaps crossing a bit of Satva into this may recreate something close.

I will be sending in 3 different Skunk lines in February as complete 100% FREEBIES. Hope all will search throughout them. The Rude GAL will be a good bet to find a Road Kill type of plant.

Hell yeah, I'm down for that! Can't wait!

The more stinky plants will come from the Rude GAL, I am sure everyone in this thread will like the Rude GAL. I have never released her to the public either.

The others will be a Big Buddha Cheese that I have been working on. I took some F2's of Big Buddha Cheese from 2008 or 2009, found a great male. I just hit a stinky pungent female with his pollen. There are going to be some good things in here, way more good things then any "original" Big Buddha Cheese offered.

The next thing I am including in those "FREEBIES" is a line of Grape Skunk. Many know I have been working Grape Skunk for 8 years. While many love the Grape smelling plant I like the middle of the road plant. One that smells of skunk with grape undertones, well many that have grown "my" Grape Skunk know there are "3" phenotypes, Grape, Skunky Grapey and Skunky. I will be sending in beans from the Skunky mom.

But this is a Road Kill Skunk thread and the Road Kill funk is more likely to be found in the Rude GAL.

I just hope everyone enjoys and finds gems in all 3 lines. Heck they are "FREE" have fun with them.

Many Blessings everyone.

Hey RL, I see you are keeping it skunky. Been awhile but hopefully you are still trucking along with your head up and the family is doing well. Haven't messed with the RG beans yet as i'm waiting to move still but when I do I have about 10 strains to start instantly and the skunky RG will be 1 of them. Thanks again!

This Rude Gal he's talking about should be down the road we are trying to go. RL isn't a person to make a bunch of emtpy promises, he stands by his work and his word and he told me a few years ago that this strain brings the skunk funk. Holding on to em til I have my controlled indoor enviroment as i'm mostly an outdoor guy currently. Don't want to risk them with mother nature right now as she hasn't been too kind to me lately but after I hopefully make a few F2s i'll try some under the sun as I feel OD organic skunk bud will have some of the most intense skunk tones. GL to all on the hunt still, we will have RKS again! Take care 1

Wow,

I thought someone would recognize this plant.

I dug a little deeper onto the source of the plant.

I was told that it came from a pack of RKS seeds from Cannaventure.

Maybe there are some still out there.

Hope this helps in your search.

I just scored a 15 pack of RKS from an outfit out of Canada. Their site looked very much legit with quite a few strains, but the packaging wasn't professional at all. I'm hoping they put way more emphasis on the product and not the packaging.
