i'll be passing on reefermans "double skunk"...a few things in the breeders description make me cringe...like seeds from holland and real sweet.

C'mon T2U, I thought that's what real skunk is?

I've read this entire thread and continually check new posts, I've never smoked RKS, but it's all I can think about when I drive past a literal RKS. Been quite tempted to buy Gonzo #2 due to Rez's claim, anybody know if true RKS has been found in that yet?

whats his claim?

this skunk i am budding is the slowest budding thing i have tried. and i have tried lots. 5-6 days or so, and the hairs are barely showing, lol. trippy. a couple protruding full length, but most just poking out still..

My buds and I used to get this stuff all the time in the 90's. We got it from a hells angel in southern MN, rochester area. I was told that it was grown in the state, more towards the capitol. If i remember correctly it was more of a 50/50 high. Nothing too potent. It was close to skunk, but there were more pronounced smells in there. Leather, coffee, and dirt come to mind. Closest thing that I have smelld like a skunk run over on the side of the road when it comes to herb, but not dead on skunk. IT did reek. It always came fresh, sticky, not squished or overly dry. Sometimes not completely dry. Maybe that had something to do with the smell? Sometimes it had the classic outdoor orange worms in the buds, but not too often. Moved to TX in 97 and that was the end of it

IIRC it was an offer made to two growers asking about RKS, that if they bought either 2 or 3 packs of Gonzo #2 they would find a True RKS keeper, or triple their money back in Reservoir Seeds credit.

After a bit of searching I found it...

Tell ya what:
Buy and run TWO FULL PACKS,AT ONCE,of Gonzo#2,and I'll absolutelyfuckingGUARANTEE you find EXACTLY what you seek,a ROADKILL SKUNK MOM.*

Howzzat?

*1) You must actually know what 'roadkill skunk' actually IS.
2) You MUST post heavily-photographed grow threads to qualify.
3) If not satisfied,I'll give you THREE TIMES THE CREDIT in Reservoir Seeds stock,of your choice, and will eat my shoes.

It's right in this thread too, didn't realize that. There is the initial disclaimer that you must know what RKS is, and who knows if Rez's idea of true RKS is the agreed upon RKS. He also made the offer to T2U a few posts down from the one I linked, but these offers were 14 months ago now.

to say the RKS is just a smell & taste is wrong.

The very best way to explain the high from the RKS is; ASS KICKING.

and yes i would choose rks over most strains..

I think Rez also said something like his Skunk x Basic 5 "pounds RKS through the walls" somwhere in his forum. Maybe it was the Gonzo he was refering to, but if memory serves me correct it was the Sk/B5 he was talking about.

(Passing empty clone tray to HK like a hobo begging for change... I play guitar for cuts.. :muahaha: :bashhead: )

I really do hope someone here finds actual RKS, and makes it availble for the masses.

I ha ve some red hair skunk from the 80's, but dont expect to find anything near the RKS in it, since it is for sure sativa dom.

I mentioned some pages back about A4 from the Bay Area. That is the closest thing to RKS I have seen since the early 90's. It seems like an RKS x Sweet Skunk. Maybe an RKS x Hawwaiian Affie? It was very skunky (rks), but had some sweet undertones, and a slighlty more acrid, catpissy type smell. Hints of tropical goodness. Close but no cigar. Anyone else try this strain and think the same? It was truly the stinkiest pot I have come across since the RKS.

Gonzo #2 (Skunk#1/Basic5 x Kush)

It's half of it. I'm still tempted to get a pack, I haven't seen any good grow reports of it. If anyone knows of any please, let me know, I'd appreciate it.

Cheers HK. The professor made a molecular transport from some coconut shells, duct tape and a papaya. I'll have him send it to you... :jump:

As has been said many times before, taste and high are subjective. What tastes great and smells great to you may be completely different to someone else. I know what RKS is, I have smoked tons of it.

I used to get some "super skunk" back in the day that reeked the whole place up with skunk, too. But when you put your nose in the bag it smelled like rubber and a little fruity. Tasted like skunk and it stayed on the pallete for quite some time. Personally, I thought that it was quite a bit stronger than the RKS (subjective).

yo lancet-percy....your trippin me out dude...i live between rochester and the capitol...i also know exactly where the skunk your talking about was being grown....i also know the super skunk your speaking of very very well.

the orange worms in some of the buds was from the outdoor skunk....the indoor superskunk was super potent and tastey as can be...i used to smoke bongs of the stuff all day.

i can guarentee you know what your talking about when you say you know what RKS is and you have smoked tons of it.

another thing that is pretty crazy is i have a Northern Lights cut from 1984 that was stolen from some hells angels that was growing that and RKS in rochester.

maybe we know each other through the grapevine or something?

i also know a couple cats that moved from this area to TX around the time your talking about.

Hi, Time2Unite! Feeling like I am in a time portal here.

We definitely know some of the same people, or knew the same people at one point. I have been out of the loop for sometime. Not sure if we have ever met. If so, Hello! I am a bit older than most of the peeps on this site if that helps. There is definitely familiarity from your posts.

Yeah, those Super Skunks were real good shit. Are they still around up there? I love those buds. There used to be a large abundance of William's Wonder coming from that area as well. If the NL's you speak of are the real piney tasting shit, then I know it, I miss them. Wouldn;t doubt it if they were stolen from the Hell's Angels because that is whre I always got them from.

As far as knowing anything about RKS being in existence today, I am not the missing link. I have no idea if it can be found. When I lived up there I was more on the consumer end than anything else. I just knew people that were more involved. I gave some seeds that I collected from the bags I had to some growers in TX but I moved around the state a lot for work, never stuck around too long in one place to really get to know anyone. I never grew any of them, wish I had. They may still be around in Texas?

I love this site.

Hi etheral, He was referencing Rochester, MN not NY.

I remember the buzz of the RKS back in the mid to late 90's hitting your head as soon as you exhailed. The buzz was extremely potent and exillerating. One 20 bag of this stuff would keep me partying all night long. I use to smoke it in one of those tiny key chain pipes with the miniscule bowl and one puff would widen my eyes and make me feel a pressure on my forehead. I don't remember there being much body stone until after the buzz started wearing off, and then I would just take another puff and be right back up there. I really wish I had a cut - but I am sure everyone here does.

lol...williams wonder was a big hit around here with some of the older folk...my friends dad and his crew grew alot of it but then they lost the clone and the plants they had pollinated got jacked so the seed is gone too...that williams wonder was pretty skunky also.

the superskunk that was going around the time your talking about is gone...i had chances to get clones back then but i wasn't a serious grower at the time....shortly after the only guy i knew that had that cut got raided and lost it.

same deal with the RKS...the crew that was holding the clones got raided on a couple farms...they were growing indoors and out....the seed stock from them buds weren't any good because they were pollinated by MN green aka ditch weed lol...some peeps grew the beans but they didn't amount to much.

i wish i could turn back the hands of time and have one of them RKS and superskunk cuts....no skunk on the market compares...not even close...when i grow skunk strains these days hoping to find something comparable the results are pretty sad.

real skunk used to be the most common buds around these parts besides schwag...back then you either got mexican or columbian schwag or skunk lol.
