first you have to scuff up the seeds and edges to let the sprout be able to make it's way out of the old hard beans....put sandpaper in a little tuppaware container or in a matchbox on the bottom, sides and top......shake it vigoriously for awhile...you actually see bean shavings on the bottom of the container.

after that make a mixture of half water and half peroxide and let them soak 24 hours...this kills any bacteria the old beans might have that kills the sprout.

if you already got some sprouts you can go straight to your medium but if they are just soft or if you just see the little sprout just starting to show itself i put them in a damp paper towel misted with the half and half mixture for an another 24-36 hours.

most the times with old beans either the shell is to hard for the sprout to excape or the bacteria kills them as they start to break through.....if all else fails you can take a razor blade and barely run it along the seam of the seed after it is soft to help open it up but don't go deep.

the plants i had i started calling them pre80 skunk...i'm pretty sure thats the name they are gonna go by...unless the guy that has all the other beans wants them called something else i guess.

i was gonna clone each one even the males....1 group of the cuts were gonna flower out and the another group of the clones were gonna be open pollinated for seeds.

a bad situation happened and i was forced to shut down my grow....i had to move the plants outdoors at the end of summer....i put them in an area where there was a big field then there was a nice little opening then another field started. it was a primo spot with full sun and camo.

within a day or two of me putting them outside we had severe storms with real strong winds and heavy rain that lasted almost a week....since i had just transplanted them they weren't established enough to handle the storms....when i came back to check on them after the storms they were knocked down and pounded into the mud....i tried fixing them but they were in real bad shape....i put supports around them and tried cleaning them off but it didn't help much...the buds i did end up with were covered in mud and ended up wispy from all the stress....they all went in the hash bag.

A friend of mine and i bought a qp of what was said to be skunk #1 grown outdoors. Unfortunatly we got about 1/4 ounce of seeds. To me it didn't smell a whole lot but the bud was bone dry and i dont think stored properly, but when it was smoked it reeked the whole house of a musty, deep pungent, skunk smell. We saved about 40 seeds that looked the best, i dont think we will be able to grow them all.

Shoot me a pm if interested in these.

I'm here. Been out of town and no ISP service to get online. Yes, there are some places today that still doesn't have ISP service in some parts of the world. Been working allot and getting allot of stuff ready.

The seeds I have are in very good hands and will be started asap. Just been so busy with work and getting ready to buy a house here in about two weeks. Just haven't had much time to post. I'll be are for a few weeks and will try to catch up on posting. T2U, I pm'ed you last night. Brother Monk is correct. I'll be running all the seeds I have and will share them. Plus, going to send a bunch to Dutch to use as freebies. Everyone will get some for "FREE". Just my gift to everyone. T2U, had some good results and it looks like it won't take long to get some seeds together. I'll get a first batch out to everyone, then I'm going to work the pheno's I have. Atleast, people will have something to grow that will give them a very good chance of the RKS pheno. Some nice pheno's popped up in T2U run. So, with larger amount of pheno's to choose from in my run. There will be a high percent of the pheno in the next batch of seeds.

Well, that's all for now. I'll post more later on. No worries, been working a lot off the grid.
Take care,
BG

Imo the RKS trait can be found in several different pools of genetics, the ? is what strains already out there have this trait expressed most eloquently? A list of these strains could be compiled and the best results could be used to recreate another RKS .

thanks fer da info Time 2unite. scuffing is something i considered last time, but never did. i did crack them after a few days soak tho, to help them.

here is the recipe i used:

Take a large wide mouth mason jar and fill with water.

add

1 teaspoon 3% Hydrogen peroxide
1 teaspoon mollasses(organic unsulphered)
1 teaspoon B vitamin/seaweed solution
Drop in the seeds

set up a small bubbler system and aerate the solution with a 1 inch stone.Cover the jar top with saran wrap and an elastic band

I like to sit the aerated jar on top of the flouros of the cloning shelf so that the temp hits 75-80F

As soon as you see the seed crack take it out and plant it in a STERILE medium, feeding it with B vitamin solution at the rate of 5ml/gal

Now lets get planting.Spring is in the air.

i got it from vision creator, he opsted it one time.

I've had sinsemilla that smelled just like a dead skunk about 7 years ago.

I bought from a guy who always had a few pounds of various sinsemilla all the time. Once he got a gallon bag that stank so bad he gave it to us at a loss just to get rid of it. He had small children whose future he was concerned for and was sure the neighbors could smell it. We were short a couple C notes and he wanted it gone.

It stank that bad. This bag almost got me kicked out of my residence.

He had no name for it except what it smelled like. The buds were neon green and very hard, we had to rip them apart with fingernails to smoke them and the smell lingered on my fingers well past 24 hours. The smell was impossible to contain. It would stay on your clothes, your car seats, anything exposed to it. If memory serves the sinsemilla was somewhat arrowhead shaped, smallish nuggets, with very few hairs to be seen. I've never smelled any weed that potent since, but when I'm driving down the road and smell a skunky odor I wonder if, hidden out in the woods somewhere, someone is growing this... my only regret is not sharing the bag with more people for them to experience this unique cannabis. It's something you don't forget but I don't believe it is something people like to share. They probably like to horde this or are nervous about the smell.

Maybe a year later I had some stuff the guy called B-52 which almost had the same smell but was a lot fluffier and much simpler to contain the smell. It was not the same thing. The smell didn't punch you in the face and burn your nostrils. It had maybe a hint of polish smell to it. The high on the roadkill stuff was definitely indica dominant and the "B-52" seemed more sativa dominant as it had my chest throbbing and a bit of sweat on my brow.

I have dealt only with bricks from Mexico for the last 5 years because I like the high and I like the seeds. I haven't smelled the roadkill skunk in this time, only slight aromas that leave you wanting much much more. You have no reason to take my word but from the quantity and variety I have seen, I personally don't believe anything coming from Mexico anymore expresses what this club is seeking. What I have seen has been mostly mint and spice phenotypes, well worth keeping in my seed collection of thousands of seeds but definitely not the road kill skunk.

Hope any of this information can help the hunt. Stay safe.

it could be that they were unfamiliar with the old primo skunky terpene, i am not sure. i know i never introduced them to our cutting back when we had it, as i hadnt met them yet.

I just wanted to say, I have had at least 1000 different kinds of primo pot go through my hands (not an exaggeration!) in the last ten years and large amounts too, and I have yet to see anyone with the RKS strain. Could be it isn't around my immediate area, but it just shows how rare this strain actualy is. I think it quite possible could be in no ones possession at this time. It's in the genes somewhere, but has yet to make its appearance - at least to someone who knows enough to keep clones of her. Between all the weed I have seen on the street, grown and all the people here looking for it, it just points to a bad situation. Just my 2 cents.

Of course CHEESE is close, it was bred by me, named by others, it was Skunk #1 seeds that grew CHEESE.

that tale rings a bell. i never tried cheese when i had the opportunity; reef told me it was quite weak, and not worth the effort.

If your expectations are RKS, then ya...the cheese is weak. But have heard it is quite on the Not-Sweet side of skunk.

It's true. A clone was called Cheese after a girl that was growing several Skunk #1 plants happened upon it... or she had the back-ups in veg. still... something like this rumor. Someone said "This smells like 'Cheese'". The wanter-preneurs about her loved the name and the variety of the strain behind it. Cloned it. Kept it and sold it until someone gave it away. Now everyone is growing and smoking it in the UK and on.

It is also true that Sam the Skunkman bred Skunk #1,,, we guess that's why his name is Sam the Skunkman. lol

"Cheese" smells like the musky skunks that used to grow about during the 1990's,,, is "Road Kill Skunk" the same thing with a different name???

Since which the current Skunk #1 seeds now give a sweeter scent when grown... so people rave over the old clones mostest.

Cheese clone...

peace out all
DocLeaf :joint:

btw ...it doesn't smell of cheese. smells like a dead animal. with sickly sweet undertones.
