Julian, I have read many of your posts.

You have a most excellent command of language and comprehension.

You seem to have the traits most sought after qualifying what it is
to be human, refreshing, to say the least.

Count me among your most ardent supporters.

No shame in posting this, it's true.

So I dried up some early samples and I still feel like my newly found clone is the skunkiest herb I have ever come across. This stuff is as close as it gets to a dead skunk.

Coincidentally it looks strikiningly similar to the old sssc skunk #1, though I dont think it is related to skunk #1 at all, it's genetics are unknown.

naw you read it wrong, like i did the first time. he means that his clone isnt related as far as he knows, not sssc and skunk #1.

Yes you are correct HM. I was simply saying it looks like the old sssc skunk picture not that it is or is related to skunk that I know of. I was just pointing out the coincidence as the actual genetics are unknown to me.

All I do know is this plant is the closest thing I have ever found to an actual skunk stinking plant. There is a special nose burning quality to the odor much akin to a real skunk.

When the whole plant is dried I'll get it out to some other ppl and see what they think to make sure I'm not just imagining things.

Is it alluring?
Or would most non potheads be kinda grossed out?

I would prolly love it either way, just wondering is all.

No not gross.

So far i have only dried tiny sample buds, so I can't comment too much on the overall power of the stench.

It smells skunky I don't know how much I can really elaborate beyond that at this point.

I have known this plant was special from veg because even in veg it smelled like a skunk.

I'll probably cut the first plant down in a week so in about 3 weeks i'll be able to say more.

Dont forget the most important part, the power of the stone. You need to have both to have the holy grail girl. Many times things have been found to have amazing skunk odor, yet not the punch of the old school stuff.

I smoked some last night, 2 tiny buds I was nicely high and laughing my ass off which is something that rarely happens when i smoke something.

Its too early to give a number rating on the high but the early sample suggests it's going to be right up there.

One thing that struck me as unusual for a plant that stinks like it does it does not have the mouth staining flavor of say og or sour d. Like og stinks but so does the flavor it's very pungent and lingers for a while after you smoke. This does not taste pungent like an og, it's actually has a nice flavor it does not taste like a skunks ass.

This is really good weed, but the mother plant it came from is also an all star plant. The mother is a great plant one of the best I have. This plant is much different than the mother in a lot of ways.

Mel Frank just posted a picture of Skunk #1 (picture taken in 2011) on his IG.

Mel has some amazing pics on his IG, so many good ones from the 70s, 80s and 90's. His photo collection really displays the monumental leap forward cannabis has made in such a short period of time.

He has one pic of a High Times cover photo from 1996 that was probably hot shit in its day that would pass for poops today. Interesting stuff.
