This was the more sativa leaning of the bunch. Buds are a bit more airier then the other plants, but the Buds stink so good..

Hey Extinctx..I hear it does take a few days to get registered over here. Good to see you've made it, and I'm Glad you'll be able to catch the remainder of the journal at least...

I started this one here when I started getting into strains I could participate in the vendor forums here on icmag, so it's not the whole journal, but it's a good part of what's been doing recently. I also transitions all the pics for these journals over here, from gc, so the few threads/pics I participated/shared in over here are safe, and will be here forever, or until I choose to delete it (as it should be LOL)

If your into growing at all, you will enjoy your time here on these forums... these forums are much more centered towards the grower, so not just a smokers hang out, although they offer that too... If you were into any of the organic growing i was doing, and would like to learn a bit, hit up the organic soil section of these forums, as there is just a shit ton of good info on growing in these forums..

These are couple new plants to hit the flower closet. I moved these in the closet as the others were finishing up... These were clones of each of the keeper plants I found in the pack in the wonder deisel. Got the soil mix a bit more dialed in, and these plants are looking quite healthy.

Definately have to second that. I got hooked over on GC from Posts grow there, but found this place not long after. Spend far, far more time here than there. I won't say they don't have some good growers over there, but the information is a lot harder to come by. Here, good info is everywhere with a lot less random BS.

Hey Post, beatiful girls as always. I have to agree, the longer leaf stems look nice. Gives the plant a bit of a spindly appearance, but that's not bad. It works. Looks like it'd also make trimming it up just that much easier.

And yeah, knowing that you can successfully grow a decent amount of bud in a trashcan has to be a good feeling. And it could come in handy for future breeding projects, since it'd probably be a good size to use for seeding plants and easy to keep separate from your main grow.

Yeah, I really like the spindly wide set appearance of this pheno pimps.

It works out nicely in my smaller space, and with the lower wattage 250's I'm using.. The open stature allowed the light to hit the lower bud sites, so the whole plant develops extremely heavy trichome coverage.

this pheno doesn't create those long running colas like a few of the other plants, but rather spaced out internodes with rock hard trichome covered nuggets at each node, and a big fat thick cola on the end of every branch... Not the largest yielder, but i have feeling the smoke is going to be amazing.

hey postman, I know its a big pain in the @$$ but when you next post pics could you mention how many days in 12/12 you are? I saw some places you listed it, but I also noted you have different plants at different times in 12/12. And when you say "10 days into flower" do you mean 10 days into 12/12 or 10 days from when you saw the first actual bud appear? Im still confused on this note. You have some that you said are 25days into 12/12 but I think you meant flower because at 25days into 12/12 Ive never seen such developed buds, unless its just how that strain is... its all so confusing to me and Im trying to compare several grows at once... for instance some indica bagseed at 30 days into 12/12 looked about 2 weeks behind the ones you said were 15 days into 12/12, which made no sense, that makes your plants maturing almost 200% quicker.. And your in SOIL!

You know I got into such a routine I very rarely keep track of flower times anymore.. With organics you really are not adjusting dosages each week, and adding something new here and there at different times.

I just know when I start seeing a few trichs degrade to amber I start cutting back any feeding I may be doing, and begin a good 2 week flush to clean things out a bit before harvest.

When I do keep track of flower times, and i do eventually go back and figure out where I'm at cause I'm curious LOL.... I count day 1 of flower 12/12 as day 1... Some people calculate from the first real developed budlet as day 1, but I always thought it "standard" to calculate day1 of 12/12 day 1 flower.

I find flower times really vary a lot depending on environment, such as lighting etc.. My ppp in the garbage can under the fluorescents took a full 20-25 days longer then under my hps hids... If I woulda been going by the calendar I would have harvested them way early. Maybe thats why fluorescents got such a bad rap at first... People stuck on the calender and when they see a scraggly premature looking bud at the times they usually are harvest, they probably came to the conclusion that fluorescents suck, instead of finishing the plant.. Could be.... I mean my buds from the can are not the densest buds but for 168 watts it was pretty decent.. I'm sure if I upped the wattage, and planted 2 plants in two separate containers (didn't bush them as much) and actually put some effort into it I could harvest some nice full colas.

Some of these wonder diesels I'm harvesting now went 75-78 days. I let them go a bit longer then I probably could of, but I was to told to let the diesels get nice and ripe as it adds to the duration and strength of the high.. so i gave that shot on a few of them .. The next one I'm harvesting is the last, and it was started about 2 weeks after the others.

Should get things in order shortly, and updating the journal regularly as i finish out these few power Diesels fems. I placed the four fems into flower yesterday.. Can't wait to see what these buds are gonna look like..

On another note, I'm busy planning my new flower closet haha.. Always fun setting up, designing the grow, and hanging your lights in a clean new spot.. I'm gonna go with air cooled reflectors this time, and exhaust into a carbon scrubber.. No co2, just a kicking exhaust pulling through the hood, and into the scrubber drawing fresh air in passively... It's a lil smaller then my flower space of current, but it's a better shape (square LOL) nice open, clean white closet to hang my lights in and with proper lights/exhaust it should kick ass in no time. Thats all I need personally. Enough space for a couple nice plants grown in the bush style I like under a 400hps. Perfect for a scrog... More on that later

Postman I am in need of your guidance if you would be so kind.

I have attached a picture of a bud on a short, tight Indica, at day 28 of 12/12 and 15 days from "first shown flower" the picture is a bud about 12" down from the top of the plant. It appears that the ends of the pistils are "burning" or "dying" does this mean something is wrong? The ones at the top arnt doing this. Its getting good light from a 400HPS, never got too hot (temp), might be a little N rich though IMO its dark green leaves also claw.

what do you think? Ill remove the pic and post to un-clutter the thread after I get your insight, so I dont /hijack your thread.

Dark green leaves, and claw are the signs of nitrogen issues.. a whole plant pic showing the leaves, and what ur feeding would give more info on that, but sounds bout right IMO.

I wouldn't be to worried about the bud though.. You may of burnt them a lil with the nitrogen, but as long as it doesn't get worse you have plenty of time for old hairs to die back, and new ones to come. It could also be nothing, and just the dieing back of old hairs as new ones come, which is normal as they start to age deeper into flower.

Of course if your having signs of to much nitrogen, back off on the feedings containing any nitrogen. allow the plant to use up some thats in the soil.

Fantastic Herb... All 4 plants harvested have slightly different flavors, but each one just as yummy as the next.. The diesel phenos have much more of a sour lemon flavor. the willy wonder pheno, does have a lil lemon kick to it, but with more of a sweet almost perfumy aftertaste that comes out in the cure.

Diesel phenos were pretty tasty as soon as dried, but the willy pheno really started to shine with a lil curing. I'm not sure which I like best as they are all pretty damn potent, and extremely favorable. I'm glad I cloned a few of em.

Lovely Wonder Diesel.. Early flower, and smelling extremely dank. Trichomes coming on heavier by the day, and buds are coming a long nicely.

Both seen to have taken nicely to the mix.. Nothing being fed, but water, and molasses every other watering. Probably give them another week or two on the soil, and then I'll give um a nice high p guano tea, and get them buds nice and juicy..

im debating between cfls or h/ 150w hps

in my experence cfl bud takes longer to finish but has a great stone, is it worth the weight??
