Sorry brother, you've lost me. Could you elaborate?
No worries! In another thread I was talking to a super-mod and asked where to find the TOU. Immediately, i noticed it has 19 points and is specific and vague at the same time. I 'think' it was the same 'super mod'

I asked for clarification of some points and was told the answer to ALL my questions is in the TOU.

I saw that the country's capitals aren't listed AND there's no list of US VP's. PLUS I've got LOTS more questions. They didn't even answer my question about Blind Faith's album cover. Some folks might find a topless picture of a 13 year old girl offensive, much less get into the Kreb/citric acid cycle. Damn sloppy if you ask me, not that anyone has asked.

A lack of a reply is like the starting blocks to a sprinter, it begs 1 to get right up to the line, without crossing it. Alledgedly...That's only funny if ya watched LetterKenny.

I've tried, it takes my old brain longer to digest information and I can forget it almost as fast as I learn it sometimes. When I went back to college at 50 I still had my wits about me I passed with a A- or a GPA of 3.47
I would not consider going back to school now, too many aches and pains, sleep deprived and just generally in a state of mild confusion and too many drugs that hinder thinking.

Plus this damn OCD has been an issue for awhile and causes problems with staying focused.

However, that does not stop me from trying to learn, maybe at a snails pace but I'm not a quitter, so I will keep on pecking away at the camera.

Good Day to you Sub:)
Have you thought about a photography class at the local community college?

Back from a walk. Mrs Pute had a rough time. The steroid shot hasn't taken effect yet. Poor girl. Bunyan on her foot, bursitis on her hip and rheumatoid arthritis from her head to her toes.

She is a trooper though. She knows if you don't use it you loose it.

I agree that some, well most of them imo are like that, seeing nor cares about the conventional management structure. I also believe that it is our responsibility as elders to help them understand it a bit more especially to anyone willing to learn that helps. (Even if it hurts a little…) I have seen many of them turn around to be productive to the workforce. I had older folks all during my career that helped me learn the ropes and especially when to speak up and when to keep my attitude checked. I found that in my later years of work prior to retirement when these new generations started showing up, that spirit of teaching the younger folks kinda went away. I think maybe they see them as a threat many times as they have a bit of a lazy streak themselves.
The School of Life's good at that. Let them wander about. Go though their adult adolescence first before they figure out the obvious benefits of joining & being a part of a working organization. Instead of banging their heads on a wall.

I’m feeling quite weak today for some reason, but I got out of bed and hit the hospital as soon as I could. My best friend is in bad shape and he’s got a 40 pulse. He’s in the cardiac ICU and my heart is broken for him. Luckily he’s got sons and brothers. That will help carry the load on making him feel better. I just saw some of the garbage the handicap fella posted. I guess he doesn’t understand that he brings this on himself with his poor choice of words. Good riddance to an open sore on our thread… I’m now realizing what it’s gonna take for me to go down to Miami and back in one day. I will suck it up and get it done.
All my life long friends have died before me, it sucks.
I hope your friend can make a recovery from their health issue and get back at it.

Right now, the closest thing I have to friends are the people on ICMAG. I do my best to fit in but at the same time I will always stand up for myself. I have nothing to prove on here, I am who I am. Popeye!

All the talk of introducing a new member to the household made me think of this video my Mrs showed me a couple of days ago.

I know your a dog person but here is a foster mom cat that knows how to handle a rescue kitten.

Play with it...that's what I did......Some forums have a photography thread.....I haven't looked for one here. I learned a lot from those threads years ago.
Thanks Pute for the reminder, I was on the photo thread a while back and forgot about it. It was actually from there I was able to get to Nikon's technical support page for this particular camera.

Howdy Mr Pute:)

I like programs offered by community colleges and have taken a few. I live in a small community of 200 homes, you can't even buy a loaf of bread here. The closest college is about 40 minutes from here and I don't drive. I did my first computer course at a community college in 1996, it's a good way to help me learn.
Learning is not always easy for me because of OCD and right now OCD is a problem for me.

But I have to agree with you about community colleges and learning.

Yeah, the instruction book that came with the camera is very basic and does not cover details on all the functions. I inherited the camera from Mrs friend who passed away. She went on one of those European river boat trips and wanted to record her journey. It was the only time she ever used the camera. It's not a photographers professional camera but one of the members in the photo thread said,"that's a fancy camera."

They are nice cameras! Nikon doesn't make any junk.

I have an 80D and the D610. I used to have a Coolpix but gave it to my daughter.

The D610 is smarter than I am and will even shoot video.

Someone once told me that by the end of your life you will be able to count your life long friends on one hand. That is true in my case. Like you OM all of my friends are out of my life, in nursing homes or have passed.
The family that I grew up with Mother, step father and brothers are all gone. I am the only one left except the younger generations.

My friends now are here. It is good for me to be here. Helps me get through the day.

It's kind of sad how it ends up for many old people. This is my place of refuge and interaction.

As long as the site is congenial and fosters a healthy attitude. People will be different but that doesn't mean we have to pick their lives apart, nor should people come on here and create a shit storm when they know very well what's going to happen when saying something. Use the brains you were given and try to get along.

I was listening to a neuroscientist yesterday talking about people who are isolated and how the brain when isolated tends to the anger and dark mood side. For those who can control themselves and have nothing to prove...places like this can be very beneficial to us oldies who are limited by health/age. For myself I had to find away back to this thread because in most cases I like the people here. I will find away to manage my issues and enjoy the good company that can be found here.
