I have to many things going on in my life…for me….day time is for getting things accomplished….night time is FOR getting wasted……THANK THE LORD FOR THE NIGHT TIME…

My world has shrunk down to several rounds of PT a day and trying to relearn how to walk without the cane and I can do that blazed as well as not. More fun ripped that's for sure.

I have this in the refrigerator. Been there a few days, haven't had the urge to drink it. Decent non-alcoholic beer from Germany. I think the German Purity Laws apply. It's refreshing and clean. Very clean. Maybe I'll have it now. Just kidding. It's 0.0% alcohol, which I really like, and $2 a can at the charcuterie store Art's.

Protestants giving up something for Lent is hilarious!
I usually give up sniffing glue, popping pills, you know, the list from Airplane.
I notice you like Westerns. Ever read the Lonesome Dove books by McMurtry?
Haven’t read it. I generally read more non fiction. But lately I wanted to read something light and didn’t involve too many GB of brain function.

draft brewed Blatz beer wherever you go!…

last bottle of beer I had was some Red Stripe

I remember someone bringing a six pack of Blatz by to a family gathering and only one or two got drunk and the rest moldered in the storage room, except for the one can I tried warm and couldn't finish.

I just had a moment of clarity while pouring a glass of orange juice.

It all began on a dark and stormy night...

Just kidding, so I'm pouring oj and the cat is doing her usual thing, jumping on the kitchen table, acting like she was starving. I'd noticed last night, she was acting 'nipped-out'. I look at her treats and yeah, 'cat nip infused/flavored'. Stash has a monkey on her back and we put it there.

I look foreword to getting ripped every day…nothing like the first buzz of the day…. Right now I have shit to do places to go and people to meet. I do love the feeling of being stoned though. To each your own.

I grew up in a dry county and as you say we just went to the next county which was wet for large purchases and from one of the local bootleggers for quick service on small purchases at a higher price.

My dad was the Maintenance Supt of the local oil refinery and used a lot of Good Old Boy local contractors to maintain the facility, so every Christmas, fifths of bourbon would appear on his desk, which he would bring home.

He rarely drank anything but an occasional beer, but did serve it to guests that did, and most of it was either made into fruitcakes for holidays by my Mom, or surreptitiously drunk a sip at a time by my older sister.

At that age I hadn't developed a taste for alcohol but loved Mom's fruitcake.
I was surprised to learn that dry counties still exist in Canada to this day. Sub informed me that it is the same in some US states.

Lots of alcohol passed out over the years in gratitude for something or in hope of a favor.
After my mom and stepdad quit drinking, years later their cabinet still held bottles from many years gone by.

I was never a fan of fruitcake, I can eat a small piece and enjoy it. I always think of my Mom's pies, she was a master at pie baking. At the end of her life in one of our talks, I mentioned that she was the best pie baker ever, it brought tears to her eyes.

Hope your furry family is all up to snuff and life in the PNW is trundling along without too much excitement for an older fellow:)
