40 years or more ago - when I first visited Thailand - it was mostly fresh outdoor markets - with fresh locally produced products in stock - now it's rows and rows of mass produced processed food in shiny hyper-colourful packages packing out the shelves in mini-malls and supermarkets all over the place - a huge amount of choice is avaliable I suppose - but I doubt if its all as healthy as cooking from scratch - which I prefer to do myself -

Evening

Still no day off but did get the brick pavers to the GH installed. Now Blondy can drive to it without tracking mud/dirt with her chair. One more thing to install, a 240v pool heater. (so much for going all off the grid but she's worth it.) I'm just too busy ATM to build a heater. I have all the parts just not the time. I will build one in due time.

Waiting for the sand to dry up enough to sweep into the brick's cracks. Once it does, I'll take pics.

HOT shower time.

I think that most of us are dog lovers - cats too - .and usually when I come across a friendly dog 🐕 or cat 🐈 - I try and get a photo or two - just to remember that friendly experience - but this one recently was kinda sad - seeing how this dog and 36 others were staked out around this factory compound - they had water - and if they kept moving throughout the day - as the sun moves - they had shade - but maaaan it was hot there - and I did see quite alot of the dogs chained to a life of sitting on hot concrete/asphalt - many with skin conditions - malnourished - and probably many other ailments - and it made me a bit sad for them -

This poor boy came to me wagging his tail - kinda desperate looking - and I would have petted him - but realised he had some sorta mange - but did talk to him a while - exchanging some soft words - to what must have been a VERY hot dog -

It's piss'in down with tropical rain 'ere - as if those in Valhalla are taking a very long shower on us down here on earth - you get soaking wet standing in it for just a few seconds -

Hmm - what to do on a wet day in paradise - maybe the SPA - for a massage? - or get stoned and watch a movie - I don't care rain or shine - I'm still gonna get in that pool for a workout 😤

Got the kids in bed. Fed my kitties. I’m about to toss these things in a river. Kidding. But I’m sick of them all the same. That whore mama of theses just dumped em.

Got the new light fixture and ballast wired up in the small bloom tent. They been living off a 250 watt hps for four days now. Glad to get that 400 on them. Started to get the 600 watt ballast but 400 is good enough. No sense in spending more on power.
Got to run the trash down to the road for pickup tomorrow. Might smoke a joint on the way there and back. Perks of a 1/2 mile driveway.
I have a bloom of hair algae in my 55 tank in the basement My snails have found it and are making quick work of it. Snails are like goats. Fed it good food and they don’t eat nothing but the good food.
Quit feeding them and they start eating everything they can reach.
I try to keep mine well fed so they don’t start snacking on my plants.
You know they cool thing about aquarium plants? You never gotta water them. And the fish fertilize the plants.
