-54 f on our porch this morning. Only -38 f. in town and at the airport.

We used to -frequently- run 5 to 15 degrees warmer than the airport, and on rare occasions 20.

I want my money back. :(

We haven't seen this temperature, that I can recall, in several years, minimum. Used to frequently see it in the winter. Don't like seeing it again. It's not old-home week for me.

Maybe I can camp seasonally in the Mojave Desert or something?

morning old farts, been busy and still healing. they now think i have a allergy to the steel they used in my knee, i guess i will learn to cope. i will be taking allergy meds for a bit if i go and get them. if i take em then it will take longer to adjust. the rash seem a tad better everyday. tried to get them to let me go back to work, his word back to me was a flat out i told you march 15. in the mean time i'm waiting on aflac while they drag there feet. i do have a new agent and told her about the accident and that it had been denied, she told me not on her watch so we will do it again. hope all are happy and well, to many pages to read to catch up.
Good luck B

My wife just shared the positive news for the hour; it's warmed to -53 f. when she just took the pups out for their second driveway journey. Both dogs are 'hot-footing' it in the driveway this A.M. (retracting one foot and walking on 3 legs for intermittent steps).

This was -not- in our forecast.

Used to be this was somewhat common years ago. But it hasn't been for a number of years, as stated earlier.

On the bright side, the 16-oz. Freemont Imperial Winter Ale that we've been sharing 8-oz. each in the mornings, straight from the shelf in the freezer room, is relatively cold straight off the shelf. Only room in the house that's not double-walled.

I would love to see your rocks and show you each one of mine since you appreciate a good rock too. I pick up rocks large and small from places I visited too but my coolest rocks came from others that have visited such places as the Imperial Palace in Tokyo and Gibraltar.
I have rocks and shells from Diego Garcia which is a British Indian Ocean Territory near the tip of India. This military installation is located on the Chagos Archipelago. We did a lot of Submarine work there. It’s really a beautiful place where they sent some of us for 30-60 day work trips. Most everything was free there for us like food as we had seafood cookouts every night. The money was great and there was no place to spend it on the island (well except for drinking…) so you usually came back with a pile of money built up. There was a lot to do in your free time there but most chose building up their drinking tolerance.
I collect rocks. I kinda thought I was a bit of a loony. My wife certainly does but she likes the borders I made out of the rocks I collect around my gardens. She has come around though and points out rocks that I might like.😂

Be prepared for some discomfort and bloody discharge post procedure.
Yep, no sex for several days to a week (but if you fail to act in time, perhaps none for the rest of your life), and a small amount of blood in the urine for a few days.

But it beats the snot out of what awaits if addressed too late.

One of those times in life that procrastination is worth kicking yourself in the ass more than once for failing.
