55 and raining. No walk this morning just spending a few minutes with Mom outside Starbucks. Nice and high. Plenty of seeds now getting spots ready. I also took over part of a demented Russians Iris plot and will be growing sunflowers and habenero. They don't know it was me and they planted irises all over the common garden areas. She took it over. Never really goes outside. Have to dig up those iris and rotate the soil a little. Fucking Russians. Dirtballs tried to turn the common planting areas into a retard bloc
You don’t like the Iris?

good morning

wishing everyone a groovy day

wish I lived closer to ya UncaWalt cause we would be having some medicinal tokes..

pain is no fun

wow I cannot believe we have been in Washington for over 4 months now!

and this lower elevation with less changes in high and low pressure systems have definitely made a positive impact on my headaches

I have not had ONE migraine since I’ve been here which is just short of a miracle for me…just one headache and it didn’t last very long

so yeah , we will be heading back to the High Plains or High Pains , in about a week to wrap up some business before we move out here permanently

we love the prairie
we hate the big cities
but this decision is based on choices for better health and a few other factors

wish us old folks some luck , uprooting our lives in the 70’s is getting way out of our comfort zone

but closer to the ocean

Mrs Pute and I are seriously thinking of down sizing to a smaller more manageable location. Denver now ranks as the 3rd most dangerous city in the country.

Shootings every day here and crime is all around us.

Besides this 5,000 sq ft house is to big for us to keep up with.
We downsized when I retired. A small yard is much easier than the the 5+ acres we were at. I do miss the quiet and super dark nights away from the city. It’s not so bad here but we do hear a siren now and then and like you there is a lot of crime around here once out of the neighborhood… Good luck finding a safe place away from it all.

It’s almost overwhelming…we have lived here for 30 years…..the house is fill of keepsakes and memories….gonna need a big dumpster….

That’s the hardest part I think. Getting rid of stuff you have collected over the years. I think that finding out the kids don’t want it helps a little but I moved a whole storage unit full of stuff I emptied from my house to make it look less cluttered when we were trying to sell. All that crap went to the neighborhood yard sale that happened the first month we were here and the rest went to good will. Seemed that I liked an uncluttered house 🤪. I’m still filling a bag of crap for the goodwill and don’t seem to miss any of it now

Good Morning All (OF's):

I hope everyone had a blessed Sunday. Saturday's work too if that's the case for you. Or just R&R too..
I read with some dismay about Little Leaf. Wow!! Fires have to almost the worst thing. Hope you're okay.
I had a friend who went through flooding in Florida too. I would put that as second worst thing on the list.
Makes me grateful I am on a hill about 300m above sea level. Maybe not a lot for Noah but so far so good.
No real chance of any wildfires or anything like it. My tile roof and concrete exterior might save me from fire.
A late check in today due to getting a later than normal start. I had work over the weekend and needed rest.
Hopefully everyone here had a restful weekend. Read about some being ill - Boo. Hope you get well soon!!

Wishing each and every one of you, a pleasant morning, wonderful day, and outstanding evening.
I am currently pretty tied up with projects and work, so wanted to start with a daily check in hello.
Today's Monday: "Can't Trust That Day". And the work week begins. One day closer to a weekend!

See you all tomorrow (again)! (y):)

We bought our new house before we put our old house on the market.

It took us 7 months to sort through and get rid of 30+ years of accumulated stuff.

We got a POD delivered to our old place and over the course of 7 months we loaded the POD and would come up to our new house on weekends with a load of stuff.

It would have sucked if we had to sell our house before we bought our new house and had to do the move within a few days vs 7 months.

we have downsized for sure

we have been to many an estate and garage sale where the kids were getting rid of all the stuff their parents collected over the years

and what doesn’t sale went into the dumpster..

so feck that , I am getting rid of stuff NOW

all I will leave is a few clothes and tools , at least that’s my goal

yeah , Swede and I have went from 2700 sq feet to less than 400 in a tiny home , 100% off grid to see if it’s doable

so far so good , we both embrace a minimalist lifestyle at this stage of our lives

Onward through the fog!
