Watta beautyEach day there's a lack of a static point of reference on the puppy's size, as the changes occur regularly, but are sometimes subtle enough (other than when picking her up) to note the specific changes.
So, each day, somewhat tongue in cheek, I ask my wife numerous times, "Is she bigger?" Something I think I've done with every puppy, and maybe a baby or 2, nearly every time. It's become somewhat an inside joke.
Now we've included our daughter in this maddeningly redundant interrogation, as she delivered the pup to us on January 11 via her truck, from Anchorage, our younger son's birthday, (when he was too busy to pick up the phone), as she hasn't seen her since the delivery date, after which I know she's gained close to 7 lbs. or more (the puppy, not our daughter) (amazing what good chow on a consistent basis will do for a dog's potential, eh?)
So now ya'll can have the glory and prestige of being included in this daily question of parenting insecurity.
Is she bigger?
