I pretty much gave up vodka at age 15 when I drank most of a 'fifth' and slept on a waterbed in the basement I was renting from a trucker/biker. Ended up making trips outside the entire wee hours of the morning to discard my stomach's contents.I like sipping Vodka over ice. Wine for dinner and beer for the ball game.
It may have something to do with the color we stain our Depends.I'm still hunting that person who invented the term, 'Golden years' so I can kick their ass or poison their well..
That, and trying to find all of that 'gold' while groaning with each step or when bending over, etc.It may have something to do with the color we stain our Depends.
If they'd have referenced this period as 'twilight years' I might find it in me to give them a pass. That, and trying to find all of that 'gold' while groaning with each step or when bending over, etc.
I'm thinking the person was either an uncurable masochist or had a really cruel sense of humor.... Maybe both.
I’ll mix Tito’s with just about anything. Gentlemen Jack when I’m serious beer with wings and food. Wine is in the fridge for the girls but I don’t usually partake…usually.I like sipping Vodka over ice. Wine for dinner and beer for the ball game.

Sea sickness without the sea, more or less. Resulted in a life-long aversion to the stuff.
edit: Similar sentiments toward gin, now that I think about it. Tequila has been about the only clear liquor that has appealed to me.
Have you seen this one? That, and trying to find all of that 'gold' while groaning with each step or when bending over, etc.

That would do it for me too boo. I did wake up in a ball field once tho after sharing a bottle of tequila with two friends. No puke tho thank god but quite a head for sure.Hey folks, I’ve been dealing with a bum back for the last week or so and it looks like it’s going to be that way for another. I got the hot tub fired up to see if it might give me a little bit of compassion. I haven’t had an alcohol drink since I was in high school at 17 years old and I can’t say that I miss it. I would regularly wake up in a puddle of my own puke after drinking southern comfort and bali high wine at the same time…
Splains a LOT about both of us.Living in South Florida, and on the west coast of Florida cocaine in Cuban coffee, were a staple of our lives. We didn’t have stomach issues drinking that swill and we could go for days on the blow. maybe that’s what’s wrong with me now as I age… I like graywolfs cartoon…it’s spot on
Never been a heavy drinker, having gone through a long stint as a kid with people who drank too much and mixed pills with it. Became 'other' people when they drank to excess with exaggerated emotion, able to talk about real issues with excess inflation of presentation, left me resentful, but wiser re. excess drink.I haven't gotten sick on booze since I was in my early 20's. I am not nor have I ever been a binge drinker. Never chugged a beer never tipped a bottle.
I like the high that marijuana and a slightly tipsy buzz from booze brings. Never had a DUI. And I usually don't start until mid afternoon.
I do admit that back in the day......coffee and cocaine go well together.
That is one thing I really miss, but not in coffee. Did a bunch in 80's and gave up cold turkey, day I broke up with girlfriend who encouraged it too much. I would always feel like shit next day, and not want to do again for awhile. She would want to do more. Only did several times since thenLiving in South Florida, and on the west coast of Florida cocaine in Cuban coffee, were a staple of our lives. I drank a fifth of Bacardi 151 when I was 14. Fell on my face. Had my stomach pumped(from what they tell me). Not much of a rum guy after that. I had no idea that alcohol poisoning was possible(but what 14 year old does). There was an after school special around that time called ‘The Boy Who Drank Too Much’. My buddies called me that for a couple of months. I don’t drink much at all anymore.I pretty much gave up vodka at age 15 when I drank most of a 'fifth' and slept on a waterbed in the basement I was renting from a trucker/biker.
