I was born in Germany and have been back 3 times, the most fun trip was when I was 16 with my mother and we went to Italy as well, and then to Munich for the Octoberfest,this was many moons ago. I remember staying at my grandmothers who owned a pub and the customers brought their dogs in while their masters got loaded and they were all trained dogs or they weren't allowed in,they had a huge chessboard behind the pub that you walked on and then carried the pieces to the squares which I thought was amazing at the time. As a side note,my parents were under Hitlers rule when they were teens and today my sister emailed me telling me she found some old paperwork of my fathers with papers allowing travel to other areas in germany during the war to go to work as a kid. I'm going to go and check them out.

The thing I notice visiting Germany on business, was that much of it was flattened during WWII and has been rebuilt in modern style, but the town of Lubek was not and was stunning.

The medieval walls are gone, but the main gate and the moat is still there, as all the original buildings and I highly recommend it as a must see when visiting.

Good idea with natural gas prices on the rise. On a positive side I wouldn't even have to add an odorant like mercaptans to make it detectable by smell!

Yup. Let Turkey police that desert bloom. Keep em busy and will likely help the Rusko's cause there too.
I'll believe we walk away from those oil fields when I see it. May not be much but whose gonna give em away? They will need all the troops to the can go to protect the dark contractors they will be using to rebuild Gaza. Our 52nd or 53rd state is going to need a lot of work. By closing USAID that should give em some slush funding. Oh well, just another complicated day in keeping the good guys # 1, and keeping the bad guys at bay. Just have to remember which is which, & whose who, from day to day, so you don't blow off your own foot. Yikes. Life's so complicated!

Morning to the east coast peeps. And the earlier rising west coast Kats.

Found a go cart that looks promising. Heading a few towns north this evening to check it out. Dad will be installing a Gubna (governor) on it. I think I was seven when I figured out how to remove the one on my go cart. I figure if he’s old enough to figure out how to disable it, he’s old enough to drive faster.

Good morning venerable brother and sister Old Farts!

Mostly cloudy here to day starting at 30F and predicted to reach 41F.

Gym first thing this morning and then lab tests to check my thyroid function.

My new cardiac and blood oxygen monitors arrived, so I will be attempting to program my Galaxy S-7 Android to interface with the cardiac monitor.

Part of the electrical components that I ordered have arrived and more are due today, but the 6/4 cable that I ordered won't be here until tomorrow.

Had a harbor freight 212cc. I believe that’s a 6.5 horse. It has the VGT belt system installed already. Supposed to be better for low speed. The old clutches needed a certain speed to release the clutch or it would burn up.
This belt torque converter setup doesn’t have that issue.

Sounds like a good time. I've never been to Europe or the UK. But I think that might change.

Mrs K really loves her tea and she's up for a trip to the UK just to visit a proper english tea house. Looking at sometime next year.

Any suggestions on the best time to visit weather wise?

Here's a nice tune you might like certain to brighten any cloudy day. A 60's San Francisco based group, that experienced some of the issues that went along with the times. But survived. A wonderful tune about survival too.
