Blueberry + Haze - Perpetual

Hello everyone!

I’m here to share with you my journey with Blueberry and Skywalker Haze from Dutch Passion seed bank.

For the enclosure, the new arrivals are residing inside of a Gorilla 2x2.5x6 tent with the AC Infinity environmental controls ducted between two light cycles with another Gorilla 2x2.5x6.5 tent.

For the illumination, (x12) Bridgelux EB3 Slim LED strips 340mm long (816 diodes total) in the 4000k spectrum, 80 CRI. The driver is a Meanwell XLG-100-L-AB, capable of over-driving to 1050mA. This current configuration will over-drive @ ~764mA on 1/16” thick Aluminium angle with temperatures close to 90°F at the LED backing. With the height set to ~24” @ ~80% the array is achieving ~200 ppfd in the center (cold).

The flowering luminaire has yet to be determined, there is ample opportunity to build and test and if all else fails we can always rely on the Birdgelux Vero’s to be way too powerful.

Cheers!

Had some free time, rearranged the farm, cleaned up some cabling, added some space between the enclosures and it looks like it is getting close to the time to modify the wine cooler.

The Haze and Berry are doing fantastic! The Berry is showing a slight burn to the first set of leaves.

231 ppfd for the Haze @ 26” & 80% power
213 ppfd for the Berry @ 27” & 80% power

350 ppfd @ 18”
590 ppfd @ 12”

With results like this, I cannot wait to get the 150W version up and running!

Cheers!

Not even a whole day and both have already stretched. The EB3 Slims seem to increase in performance after warmed up to ~90° F. I’m seeing ~250 ppfd for the Blueberry and ~275 ppfd for the Haze.

Roots are showing at the bottom this morning, the girls will get transplanted into 1 gal. Gorilla fabric pots today. I’m also going to give the wick system a try for these first few runs. I’d like to get my bearings with soil before I jump back into hydroponics. I have a great new idea that someone else probably already thought of.

Cheers!

Once the girls dry out they are going straight to 3 gallon fabric pots. Unless the 5 galling fabric pots arrive early.

Bridgelux is a godsend.

These EB3 Slim’s have been running non-stop for days. My photon meter is showing an INCREASE in out-put after burn-in.

🤯

Currently, the XLG-100 is driving (x12) 4K 80CRI strips to 50W @ 24” and I’m seeing north of 200 ppfd at the canopy!

These girls are going to see what 2700K & 97CRI does to their thighs!

Cheers!

The Bridgelux 4000K 80 CRI spectrum produces amazing PAR for the money. With absolutely no supplementation @ 50W I’m achieving over 200 ppfd with excellent internodal spacing, vibrant leaf growth with accelerated root growth. Both of these little girls are already drinking from 3 gallon fabric pots with wick reservoirs!

The proof is in the pudding, it is Bridgelux or bust for me.

Cheers!

Amazing node spacing with excellent shoot growth on the Haze. The Blueberry is, 1-2 weeks behind the Haze, showing promise!

Possibly a new fixture this weekend!

Cheers!

The Haze looks like she is ready for flower, the Blueberry has a thick stalk.

I’m impressed with the genetics and the illumination. Wick irrigation has me hands-off right now.

Looks Good
I'm looking forward to seeing how the current DP Blueberry turns out

The Kush is holding the flowering tent for another 5.5 weeks or so. That should give both of these little girls plenty of time to spread out and possibly get a clone or two. I don’t have a lot of space so I can’t manage more than four plants at any given time.

Dutch Passion was very good to me, I found a piece of dirt in the Blueberry seeds and sent them an e-mail about it, they gave me 15% off another order as an apology so I picked up Orange Bud 2.0!

Dutch Passion has excellent customer service and I will be doing business with them again in the future.

Cheers!
