My wife was watching the KC Chiefs game on Sunday and uttered this memorable quote;

"The Chiefs are going to have to come to some basic understandings and facts if they're going to win this game. The defense will have to stop the other guys, and the offense will have to get past the other guys."

I took it as both a testament to my wife's dry sense of humor, and the quality of my 2022 Soul Mate.

My nephrologist has some things to say about it as well.
I think the carnivore diet is a fad.
No where in nature do humans only eat meat.......none.
Our teeth and digestive systems plainly show what we evolved to eat.
The nomadic inuit in Northern Canada did. I believe they chased and lived off of a caribou only. If I remember correctly their physiology had evolved to almost a new sub-species.

It's been over 3 decades since I read about them so I may be off a little with the details, but next time I have a minute I will see if I can dig up more information and share. I remember being fascinated by what I had learned about them.

Edited to add: a quick Google search brings up Nunamiut Eskimos.

The article doesn't give the percentage of their diet but if I remember correctly it was over 90 percent from the caribou. I'll keep digging as I find it fascinating.

They also eat the Caribou stomach content.

I wonder what their average lifespan is?

-43 f. on the porch currently.

The new GSd puppy has a bald spot of very warm pink tummy at the base of her abdomen where she's only begun growing a tiny bit of fur. Speeds up her outside visits a bit when she needs to relieve herself. Very prompt attention to her duties at these temps.

Satori: Uploading pics is again not working for me.

We currently have no warming inversion like we received routinely years ago here, so we're running about 7 degrees f. colder than the airport in town. :(

Other than for a vehicle that needs to go into town on Friday for a thorough once-over before my medical trip(s) to Anchorage, my wife needs to go into her clinic to be on-site to monitor work ethic and have some direct client meetings.

Today
Mostly sunny, with a high near -32. Calm wind.
Tonight
Partly cloudy, with a temperature rising to around -29 by 5am. Calm wind.
Wednesday
Mostly sunny, with a high near -23. Wind chill values as low as -40. Southeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm.
Wednesday Night

Thursday Night
Mostly cloudy, with a low around -38.
