WOW! I was idly scanning through all the countries looking for Vietnam.

It is 197th out of 200. I never saw one fat Vietnamese. They are tiny and universally thin. I was cut, and I still weighed as much as three of them.

But can he skin a grizz 🤣🤣
Big has a system to skin a griz: He puts concrete boots on the bear, then walks around behind it and kicks it inna ass. Walks around to the front, and sez:

"Now lissen -- You go tell the other bears to GTFO of the area when I'm in the woods. Or I will sic Sweedie on you."

When the bear signs the document, he lets them loose.

If you aren't stoned, you will be:

The missile knows where it is at all times. It knows this because it knows where it isn't. By subtracting where it is from where it isn't, or where it isn't from where it is (whichever is greater), it obtains a difference, or deviation.

The guidance subsystem uses deviations to generate corrective commands to drive the missile from a position where it is to a position where it isn't, and arriving at a position where it wasn't, it now is. Consequently, the position where it is, is now the position that it wasn't, and it follows that the position that it was, is now the position that it isn't.

In the event that the position that it is in is not the position that it wasn't, the system has acquired a variation, the variation being the difference between where the missile is, and where it wasn't. If variation is considered to be a significant factor, it too may be corrected by the GEA.

However, the missile must also know where it was. The missile guidance computer scenario works as follows. Because a variation has modified some of the information the missile has obtained, it is not sure just where it is.

However, it is sure where it isn't, within reason, and it knows where it was. It now subtracts where it should be from where it wasn't, or vice-versa, and by differentiating this from the algebraic sum of where it shouldn't be, and where it was, it is able to obtain the deviation and its variation, which is called error.

Good night.
Meh. Peh. Feh.

Chillen, I kin see I gotta bring you to the throne of Who's On First.

Back in the Olden Days, I worked with IBM punch cards. How did they work with those little oblong holes punched here and there in each of them?

The computer looked for where the holes weren't. Gotcha.

While looking for some info on my Uncle Ed (he commanded a regiment of Marines at Iwo Jima), I stumbled on this iron-hearted VERY old sojer retelling what he saw and did day and night.

Artlessly, this triple Purple Heart recipient describes continuous, heavy combat like no one I've heard before. By nine minutes in, you will be ON Iwo Jima. At 44 seconds in, I nearly peed. The guy's name is "Walt" <-- I am not the sojer he was.

And you will get an honest understanding of just how close up brutal real combat is.

The last ten seconds is the pièce de résistance...

In the UK they measure if you are fat/obese via the Body Mass Index (BMI) - and at 5ft 11 inches tall (used to be 6ft) - and weighing around 215lbs lately - makes me obese (according to the BMI) - but I have a 34inch waist and a 48 inch chest = a muscular body - with just 14% bodyfat - so this BMI measurement is not a good indicator of whether or not you are overweight/obese - because it doesn't allow for muscle mass - and the weight of that -
Yeah, I was considered overweight even when I was a ball of muscle. Now I am carrying about 20# extra weight, down six since the first of the year.

Good morning venerable brothers and sisters of the sacred poot and herb!

Gaugus here again in Pacific NW Paradise, starting at 29F and predicted to soar to 50F.

Holy shit, my computer is still scanning for virus. It has scanned over 6,000,000 files on my four drives and estimates another 1.4 hours to finish.

Grayfox's old boss was in town yesterday and took her to Tien Hong for lunch. She brought me back an order of Salt and Pepper Squid and I still have half of it left for snacks today.

Morning

Going to hit 60f today. So, no need for thermal panties. :whistling:

Moving an upright freezer first thing. Swapping out a chest freezer that has old R12 in it. That needs a re-charge. Keeps cycling off n on. If it had 134A in it, I could re-charge it. Plus, it's easier for Blondy to get into the upright. Anything to keep her happy...

Finishing up a livestock trailer's electric brakes. It has never been adjusted, and 1 axle isn't getting power. Simple fix (knocks on wood) I hope. Then to the truck that pulls it, a water pump swap out. A full day of debauchery....

@bigsur51 If you run across some Fat Wood chunks from them pines. I'll pay for the shipping for a few sticks. Need some for the bugout/ camping kits. Absolut best thing for starting a fire. We don't have pines in my neck of the woods.

enjoy

Balmy upto 40 plus today here.
The big ice fishing tournament is on this weekend.
They had to move it closer to shore cuz of ice heaves.
We have a chance of snow here Saturday thru Sunday night.
We need it badly.

Sold the ice tent Sunday, took all funds to hold for the shanty to be made this year.
Had some 2x8 white oak cants 12' long cut when I first moved up here 8 year ago, they've been sitting and drying.
Gonna laminate some snow skis to the bottom of the runners for ease of pulling around.
The ice tent you have to setup everytime you use it. The shanty you keep setup and ready to rock except for firing up the heat.
Set at start of season pull it when they tell you to, normally end of February.
