Saw the northern lights way down here in almost South Georgia. I don’t like it. Ain’t natural to see them way down here. We’ve had some pretty high emissions in solar storms this year. Higher than seen in many years.
Besides they were red.
That stuff looks like a bad omen, like who wants to look up to a weird blood red sky way down in georgia. You know that’s a heavy solar flare to catch us easy down here. Like knowing your being shot at 😂

I’d rather gas my saw and keep working then wait on the battery to recharge for an hr or more.
Homelite used to sell a two stroke circular saw for the Alaskan folk. Now that’s a funny looking saw.
Yeah i'm guessing chainsaws and sting trimmers given out were gas powered but those electric chainsaws aren't half bad and if you have two batteries (one in the saw, one in the charger) you're good to go. Keep in mind they have crews out with the right equipment doing the heavy duty stuff. Most of what home owners will be boing will be more repair to their home related and for that the battery tools might be better if the power is out and people have to keep everything running on a generator. I wasn't able to see much of the after math this morning as I had other things to do, from what I did see though it looks like damages weren't horribly bad other then isolated areas where the tornados touched down. There was a crane that did a fair bit of damage to a multi story bring building and the damaged roof at Tropicana field but stuff like that will be taken care of by paid professionals most likely.

Good morning peoples, I appreciate the concern but the boys and I made it through the storm in one piece as did the house. My 25 year project the landscaping is been completely ripped out of the ground. All the trees in my backyard had the tops broken off, and when they came down, they crushed all the palms along my driveway. I completely overdid it when I was hanging the shutters so I’m staying close to the ice pack and the bed today… when I walked out on the back porch this morning I just about choked up looking at the devastation. I’ll take some pictures, but I don’t think I’ll be able to send them because all of our services are down. Thank God, the storm came from the north because if it came from the south, it would’ve crushed my home because I have a lot of trees…
Sorry to hear all those years of hard work were undone but the important thing is that you and the boys are okay. All the damage will get sorted out in due course so for now the priority is to take care of the one thing that can't be replaced...you.

I couldn't help but notice the goodies in the background, they would have to be covered over before they would get by my eye.
Sub, have you ever made a cupcake with a filling in the center?

I make a lemon, poppy seed and coconut muffin, I'd like to put some lemon curd in them this time, but have never done it.
I made some once that came in a kit form, basically it required you to make the cup dake part first then you put the filling in one of those cone shaped bags for applying icing to a cake and fill up the middle. Then you bake it, top it with icing after it cools and then enjoy. The cupcake was meant to resemble strawberry cheese cake so the cake part was strawberry the flling was a blend of something like creamcheese and whipped cream and the icing was cream cheese flavored. Wasn't difficult but a bit tedious. They turned out fairly good.

In the big picture your home survived and you and your wife are well, that's good Unca Walt, very good.

What happens with Fancy Pants?
They were huddled on my front porch, safe. They spent all day yesterday sitting regally in my garage. I came out and hand fed them a blue ton of cooked peanuts (their fave, but they won't touch uncooked peanuts).

They thanked me by taking enormous goose-shits on my concrete floor.

It is their way.

Still dark... I dread the sun coming up becuz the heartless bastage I work for will drive me out there to start hauling cut-up logs into the boonies. (*sigh*) I have no mercy on me.

This ole soft-hearted hardcase got almost weepy -- three times, different neighbors of mine came by to check on Herself and me -- and to offer help in carrying away the logs. One guy has one metal leg. One is 15 years younger than me but not healthy at all. The other has three tiny kidlets, four doggies, and has enough on his plate. But they were serious, and it was touching.

@Boo -- I dunno what I did (touched a wrong button on my new computer) but I was looking at your driveway. Then the pic and the post disappeared.

JEEEBUS. I got a good look at your driveway. Yikes.

That would be way too much for me to clean up. A small ad for workers in the paper may help. Wait a minnit. I just had an idea...

Yes! Yes!

Can I plead with you NOT to get really ill by starting on all that shit? Yer Unca did a quick check using a search: "Local yard work near me".

That popped up -- among a dozen others -- for my area. Do yer old bud a favor and just type in "local yard work near me" on the top line, awright?

It could save... heck, it could save your life. It would most ricky-tick save you a shit-ton of desperately heavy labor.

I'm off to The Royal Albert Hall tonight - to see David Gilmour in action - gotta meet up with oldpink at 3pm - then have a meal at a Thai Restaurant before the music - should be good - will be the 2nd time I've seen Gilmour at The Albert Hall - since I went quite a few years ago to see him there - great acoustics - great music - and it's ages since I went to a live gig - other than seeing my son play his ukulele at his school fair this last summer ☀️

Wish I could just phone International Rescue - (The Thunderbirds) - to help get Boo's yard/garden sorted out - after the very recent storm - out there on that big sandbar with Aligators - over the pond - called Florida -

Partly cloudy here starting at 47F and predicted to reach 72F.

Happy Yom Kippur!

Gym this morning and then an open calendar to start testing the Myrcene, D-9 and Psilocybin gummies that magically arrived in the mail from Membrane Masters, Ltd.

The reason we can see them this far south, is the Earth's magnetic field is weakening. (polar reversal) This allows the charged particles (radiation) from the sun/universe to penetrate the magnetic field. Think that the Earth's magnetic field as our shield from dangerous particles/ bullets. It is NOT a good thing.

The media puts it out as OOO AAA so purdy but the reality is it is causing harm to us and all lifeform on this planet.

To learn the truth about the polar shift. Go watch Ben at suspicious0bservers on the tube.

In the end of days there will be signs in the sky......

Look up!

David Gilmour, envious to say the least.
Was his son and daughter playing also.
Very instrumental family
