Well, the way I looked at it, regarding pot size and plant size is that anytime I have used a really big pot, The plant has the potential to get huge. More so than tiny pot. I figured the 3 gallon pot (usually use the standard 5 gallon) would result in them not reaching height potential. Normally this would have me equate this to mean less yield. After watching one plant scrogged overtake a tent, but not have the largest buds, lots of nice ones, but no huge ones, I decided to try something to limit height.Yes they do. I usually take about $2000 each year from my Etrade IRA account.
Am holding about 24 stocks in my Etrade "play" account. Got until tomorrow to complete my purge of the <cough>.....dogs in that account. Some of my better players are security stocks like CRWD and PANW.
(Widowed) girl friend is a multi millionaire who until meeting me had most in cash just losing value due to our current high inflation environment. I'm going WTF? She has NO tolerance for risk so I got her into quite a few CD's and treasury bills paying around 5.6%. Yields have been dropping and will continue. I've been buying quite a few high yielding dividend stocks, talking 8+% dividends paid out monthly or quarterly like OHI.
As of today........

There's a shit load of money that's sitting idle in bonds and such, cash. Got to go somewhere. I think the stock market will rally from the billions on the side coming to play.
Got more little faves ready to go from their germ pots into 2 gal. pots. Will deal with it tomorrow.
@BubbasPlace, recommend conventional pots painted with MicroKote. You can use smaller pots because you're creating a highly efficient, fibrous root system. Won't make the plants smaller. It's the only way I grow many plants and trees now. Here's an example. https://overgrow.com/t/how-can-i-use-spin-out-for-chemical-root-pruning/258
I bust down long internodes with Paclo. And yes because the % is extremely small it's perfectly safe as long as you follow instructions. Indians use it on their mango orchards and Aussies use in their avocado fields. Why the USDA hasn't authorized it for use in the States for consumables is anyone's guess.

Good luck to all,
Uncle Ben
4 plants I did this with, (also only vegged until 18-20 inches tall after one topping) resulted in shorter plants after the Chrimera 3's big stretch, tallest right at 40 inches, down to about 36. Buds however, were much more dense and also larger. Yield was much better than the far taller, but ganglier plants I grew. This was my major complaint of Chrimera 3.....a lot more fuss and trouble than most of the indica plants I like.
Yield was much better. 3-4 oz per plant. Not fantastic. But better than my tall attempt! As to plant growth regulators, I dont use them. (unless they are snuck into my nutes I guess!) I just grow for me, and have more than I need and can use. Allows me to make hash and rosin, with plenty of buds too.
