62 now, some day I'll have to break down.
We just went thru a scare with the wife and her dawandle bulb, it's where everything goes different directions liver and Pancreatic area.
Couldn't take it out by scope to afraid of perforations, had to open her up.
Luckily Doc said it was more of a Designer cancer, said if you were to get a cancer that would be the one to get.
No chemo no rad but still every year from now on have to be rechecked.

I went across town this morning and discovered this beast hang from a chain and a tree. The owner wanted it gone and didn’t have any idea how to remove it because of its size. I’m going to go over there on 3 January with my front end loaderand a couple of trailers. One trailer will be for the loader to transport and the other trailer will be to take the stag horn home. It has View attachment 18937150 to weigh 600 pounds.
That is bad ass!

Roughly 8 years ago, my dog, let me know I had liver cancer and within a week I had it surgically removed because I refuse to let them put poison in my body to kill it. I too have to get checked every year. I had my blood work done a few weeks ago and now I have to go in and get another MRI, we are lucky that technology has advanced to the point that it can detect the issue before it gets any worse

As long as we are on the subject of sunken treasure, I found this blurb I wrote a while back in a galaxy far, far away. True, though...

I own a piece of eight I found totally by accident while adjusting my diving gear as I was sitting on snowy white sand in about 20' of water. (the tank had slipped out) My right pinky fingle bumped it. I turned to look what it was, and damned near catted on the spot.

Began to whoosh sand away with my hands; the sand was only about 8" deep to white bed coral. After a while, another guy from the boat came up to me and gave me the WTF? sign. I held out the coin.

HIS eyes were now saucer-sized. He began swooping, too. Finally, a third guy came down, looked, went up. Then EVERYBODY came down to swoop sand. We burned two tanks each at about an hour a tank looking.

Mine was the only coin. I stopped in to talk to Mel Fisher about it, and he immediately identified if as a coin from the Nuestra Señora de las Maravillas. Even showed me the mint mark (Potosi), assayer's mark, and date (1655).

THEN he grilled me as to where I found it. He nodded, saying I was really lucky, since it was what he called a "dump coin"... treasure spilled out as the ship busted up. As the treasure spilled, it lightened the ship. The ship was pushed on by the high wind, laying a scattered trail.

Here it is:

Mrs S&S (Leah) is making little Christmas tree ornaments and I'm her official wire bender. Not nearly as cool as bending and tying rebar for a pour and it doesn't come with a stinking badge, but there are some perks to the job.

Levon Helm on the speaker, cinnamon in the air, a playful mouser, and a lovely buzz off of some good homegrown. Life is good:deadxmas:

Cheers!

Levon RIP
