My sister and her husband just recently got two puppies - a pretty laid back 30-40 pound mut, and an 8 week old Lab. They've always been small dog people. They're my age.

And they have a brand new Labrador Puppy! ROFL!

I told her I got no sympathy for them. lol She said the Lab is "wearing them out".

(they're both smart peeps, but I wonder how fully they thought this out)
We have always had larger more active dogs until we got Maryjane. We both are getting up in age and can’t run and are more apt to get pulled down by the kind of dogs we have always had so now we have two golden doodles still pretty large but much easier to handle for our next chapter.

I have a completely different view on dogs. I am 71 years old and I’ve had German Shepherds all of my life and I am grateful to have big dogs around me to help me through my day. Ivan is becoming extremely spot on with his commands, and I know that one day I’m going to need him to lean on, when my old bones don’t wanna hold me up. I am working with Ivan now to get him to lean in and get rigid when I put my hand on his back and squeeze. Today was his first day of training and he did better than I could’ve expected.

Of course you can grow talk on my garden page anytime (everyone is welcome to SubGirl’s Garden but I gotta tell ya we sometimes drift there too. 🤪 We all like weed talk and you can ask anyone either here or there anything and we will talk about it. Don’t worry about jumping in anytime with weed talk. I like to have a place where I can go back and look at past history dates and such as I’m not one with a whiteboard and a bunch of logs like some here. I wish I were more organized like that but I’m just not in real life after retirement. That portion of my brain went to pot so to say so having a garden page makes more sense to me. But yes grow talk is always welcome on my page or here. We are all friends here like boo said and drifting is just what we do. 🥰
Can't have good grow talk without the drift @SubGirl.

I can't say I'm a whiteboard type of gardener myself. However, I own two clipboards one small and one gigantic one for plans and plats, and a hard hat full of official stickers. @Putembk your up first let's talk perlite.

A Growers Christmas Lament
=====================================
Twas an hour before 420 and all through the grow
Something was amiss but what I didn't know
The cuttings were placed in the rock wool with care
In hopes that new roots structures soon would be there
The clones were all happy having just been fed
While visions of smoking them danced in my head
With buds in a jar and kief in the cap
If I smoke more of this I'll need a long nap
When out of my grow there arose such a clatter
I staggered from my couch and dumped all my shatter
Away to my tent I flew with a flash
Ripped open the zipper and spilled drying hash
The halide lamps color of new fallen snow
Gave the luster of midday for the cannabis below
When what to my bleeding red eyes should appear
But a miniature web and 8 tiny mites oh dear
With a shiver down my spine I moved really quick
Thinking to myself I've been a real dick
More rapid then fans my treatments they came
And I whistled and shouted and called them by name
Now Neem, Now Lavender,
Now Rosemary and Cinnamon
On Spinosad, On Thuricide,
On Thyme and Pyrethrum
From the top of the light
To the last inch of wall
Now Kill them Kill them
KILL THEM ALL !!!
As dry fan leafs before the duct fans they fly
A few bong hits like that I'll be high as the sky
So off to the kitchen I staggered and slew
Ripped open the cupboards and ate all the brownies too
And then in a stupor I heard at the door
The whine of a bullhorn and dove to the floor
As I drew in my head and was turning around
Down the chimney my growme came with a bound
He was dressed all in tie dye from his head to his foot
And his trip down the pipe stack had him covered in soot
A kilo of fine weed was clutched in his hand
He said it's the cops please hide me good man
His eyes stared in terror This must be in error
I have my recommendation They'll beat me past resuscitation
The stump of the pipe he held tight in his teeth
Stunk of something dead like skunk crossed with sheep
He pulled out a jar of mixed hash and kief
If you help me escape this is yours to keep
I opened the door and confronted the cops
With my papers in hand this really must stop
The look in his eyes and his hand on his gun
Convinced my growme and I we should have just run
We spoke not a word but stood handcuffed in place
Watching in horror as the officer strip searched the space
He spoke not a word but went straight to his work
When finding the butane he turned with a jerk
And laying his finger aside of his nose
In front of the judge your going to get hosed
Shoved into his car in the deep dead of night
I heard him exclaim as we drove out of sight
Merry Hempfest to all and to all a Good Night !!!!!!!!!!!

It’s a beautiful day out here in the swamp, we’re right at the high 60° mark, weather, like this makes the dogs full of spunk. I just put some hay down for the hogs and I can’t keep Ivan away from the mail, which is the tan one. You can see him lurking behind the Feed barrel, looking to start some shit with the pigs.

I see you got them double-fenced to keep Ivan's nose at bay...

Does anyone know how I can edit my posts. I’ve been posting off of my smart phone and spellcheck is destroying the intent of my words…platz is down in German, not plate…😉
My niece had a Belgian Malinois schutzund trained. She came for a visit with Shock. He was a gorgeous smart fearsome dog. I forget what the circumstances were but I had gone out on an errand before my niece had gotten up. When I came home from the errand I let myself in the back door and there was Shock at attention. My niece was in the shower in our bedroom. UH OH! I had heard her say the down command before but at the time it was not on the tip of my tongue. Shock was not happy with me and I started with "Nein Nein..." to no avail. Platz finally came to me and Shock obeyed and I backed out of the door to wait until she come out sparkling clean.

Your dog Ivan is a handsome one.

Just got my shipment of new boxers in exotic colors if anyone is interested 😊
How exotic and did you order snacks?

I was stationed on Oahu for two years. I used to jump off the dive rock at Waiamea, then dive on down to a hole at the bottom of it and swim to the other side.
That reminded me of The Deepest Breath documentary I saw on Netflix. Intense story.

A cloudy day with rain starting at 38F and predicted to reach 48F.

Dropped the Ford EV off at the dealership to have the horn and wiring harness replaced, and the charging system examined to see if it is the car that is knocking out the battery charger or if I've lost two chargers in a row due to charger mortality.

We went to a winter solstice party yesterday afternoon that was mostly folks our age or older. The food was potluck and sketchy, but good folks and good conversation.

Short term memory is a hobby of mine. I do believe you are from down the road from me? Cheektowaga, maybe?

Order of things that jumped out in the picture:
1-Sabres hat

2-I believe those are your reservoir tanks, but they look like commercial sprayers either ipm or foliar feeding could be both.

3 wd40

4 rock star status with the strings and Amp

5 plant skeletons

6 middle finger

Entirely too stoned to focus anymore.
