Good morning brothers and sisters!

More rain and a day starting at 45F and predicted to reach 63F.

An early appointment with a contractor for a bid on our new front walkway and an invite to a Father's Day seafood buffet at Salty's on the kids and grandkids.

Good food and good company, but even though it is Father's Day, with a mother, daughter, grand daughter, and great grand daughter present, I'm predicting the vivacious and entertaining one year old great grand daughter will again be the center of attention.

I do remember seeing those movies many years ago - there was a special phone that's ringtone was very memorable - it went - Doo-doo-da-doo-doodle - and so on - Hmmm - or was that The Man from U.N.C.L.E.?

I beg to differ - but trying to run a site like this that has people that believe in the sorta credo - makes it necessary for me to follow suite - but I'd rather not have to ban anyone

- problem is that people think that it's important to piss other people off - and I don't -

Why would I want to do that? - we have free speech here - and as long as you are not pissing off the membership - it's up to you how you wish to present yourself - with words -

Boasting about being banned here before - doesn't really impress us - since one of us had to go thru the trouble of doing it initially - and hope not to have to bother again - it does take some time - and often alot of reading to figure out what some of these awkward problems are between members - and then have to make some sort of judgement to warn or ban someone - often because they were purposefully pissing someone off - and we'd rather not have to bother with all that - it would make life easier without it -

Do you roast your own beans?
I'd like to know more about your process if so

I don't do light roasts..I could not guy the roast I like

can make around 1.5 lbs in an hour

this one is really good for dark stuff..

for this darkness ..wait until you see the first shiny dark beans then turn it to cool

its not totally constsitant in th photo because I put too much in...so I can get it done faster

and th e small % of red/brown beans adds a bit of “normal” notes

Thank you. I will cue up the vid here shortly once the current cup of coffee gets me to focus mode

I too love a very dark roast. It took me several months to find a store bought brand that I enjoyed.
After ending my 32yr love affair with hazelnut liquid creamer but not wanting to end coffee,
I discovered most store bought coffee is awful tasting black.
I now use a 10oz cup w/ 1/8 t Redmond's real salt + 1T unsalted butter emulsified w/ my
stick blender. Yum, I look forward to my coffee again.

I recently found a place that sells green coffee beans and have been curious about DIY roasting.
