that question really got me going , but alas , I shall refrain from any more discussions of the Flat Earth , there is way to much cognitive dissonance to wade through to get to the truth..🤓🤓🤓

but yeah , Kansas is not as flat as its reputation

consider the Flint Hills for example….Coronado once visited Kansas

It's all about perspective I suppose, compared to the Rockies Kansas is as flat as a pancake.

I don't think that most people are worried about the USA in the UK - personally all I can say is that all these shenanigans with the USA leadership filter down to be looked at mostly as pure comedy to the majority - in a nation thousands of miles away - and it's that factor that causes any interest there might be - amongst the people I know - they seem more interested in the latest gaffe - and don't seem to view it all with any seriousness at all - since they are not a part of that nation -
Well that's good to hear, I'm glad at least one country isn't quite ready to give up on us. In fairness to the report though it didn't really specify which countries, though for some reason I did get the impression it was mostly a feeling led by France and Germany. Not that they said that, I just had that impression for some reason.

A surprise satisfaction development of being in your eighties in good enough health to run a chainsaw:

Every single one of your enemies is dead. Even famous conquerers cannot say that. It is also something wealth cannot buy.

This reminds me of the first and only time I diid Peyote. I was with four good friends and we all had an equal amount of buttons. We were at a rock concert (I forget who was playing). After the concert we ended up back at my place doing a bong dession and drinking beer. The topic o conversation was what we each thought of the concert. At some point one of my friends ask me what I thought of the concert. I said it was pretty good except that the guy sitting next to me was kind of making it hard to enjoy because he was jumping around ans screaming and waving his arm so much. My friends got quiet and all looked a me with very serious faces and said, "Dude that was you jumping around waving your arms annnd screaming". Now there is a chance they were just messing with my mind but if they weren't it's got to be the strangest Hallueinatory experience I ever had. I have a very clear impression in my mind that night of me quietly sitting there watching the concert and a very clear impression of someone next to me jumping up and down, waving his arms and screaming. So if it was a hallucination then it was something like an out of body experience. What makes it even stranger is that whoever the band was that i can't remember it must have been someone I didn't care much about to not remember i've seen some really good bands over the years and i remmber all of them several of which i saw while tripping my ass off. During those concerts I was more the way I thought I was at this concert then i was some guy jumping aroud, waving my armms and shouting. That just really unlike me.

(*snork*) After posting this, I happened to lookit that picture from an old pilot's POV. There is a runway before that treeline going right to left** about 1/4 of the way down from the top. And another runway on the left center.

So the hilliest, roughest territory in Kansas could be an airport in other states.

** "Fly up the elephant's nose" the prevailing wind/breeze can be seen by the wheat bending. So you would land your airplane going right to left on that runway.

Pretty much if you have a credit card, a SSN, a mortgage or have filled out an application to a bank, your info is out there on the dark web. A couple years ago I got a call from a local bank manager asking if I had opened an acct. I hadn’t. I asked how she got my phone number. She said she got it, my address, SSN, and mother’s maiden name from the acct application. She had 25 or 30 Accts opened the same night with the exact same deposit of $33+k in each acct which is the only reason she was alerted. Obviously the $33+k deposit was phony(I asked to withdraw the amount😂). The next week I got a letter from Charles Schwab thanking me for opening an acct. I am pretty tight with where I give out my monetary info but it seems at least once a year I get a letter from one financial institution or another offering me free credit protection because their systems have been compromised. And those fkrs want us all to go with digital ID and currency. FK THAT HARD!
I can't prove it but one of the few conspiracies I believe in is that computer viruses and identity theft was all started by the companies that sell you the protection for it. They've been known to hire hackers to test their protection and they understand viruses and such better then almost anyone else in the world.

Rain today, starting at 49F and predicted to reach 64F.

What a joke Angi's List turned out to be. I asked for three bids and got two calls from the first vendor. The first to tell me that they didn't do that kind of work and the second because they didn't know that someone from their company already called.

The second vendor showed up but didn't submit a bid, even after I called three days later and left a message that I was closing the bid at noon that day.

The third never showed, but I got an email from Angi telling me that I had to verify my appointment with the vendor with them.

What a joke! None of the vendors spoke fluent or easily understood English, so even with the drawing I provided, I had to explain it and repeat myself, before not getting a bid. No one who contacted me was native born and I question whether they had green cards.

When I answered Angi's message requiring me to verify my appointment with vendors, they offered to set up another appointment and I told them I couldn't be more unhappy with their lack of professionalism and that we wouldn't be doing business.

Starting over seeking bids from vendors who are big enough to afford a website, but still shooting blind because I've been retired 19-years and my professional contacts are mostly retired, dead, or otherwise long gone.

I could see that. Greed in worldwide corporate culture gives rise to such things as cars and appliances that are inexpensive to buy then too expensive to fix(making consumers into repeat consumers-see the VW Bug effect for reference) and drugs which have side effects that require more drugs…
