Charolais.angus?….
we are thinking of doing that when we get to Port Angeles , a small cow calf operation
we also are looking at miniature Jersey milk cows , maybe get two of them and supply the neighbors with fresh dairy products..
Good luck with that !!!Ahh - they all know that I'm capable of doing me own ablutions - so they dont offer - but the wife is due in a morsel of time - so maybe I can convince her that I'm too incapacitated - to wipe off me own bits?
Hmmmm - now that sounds like a plan eh?
I have a male yorky. He is 13 and has to take an insuline shot 2 times every day. He also has a bum knee like yours. I have to wake up at 2 am to give him his medicine. He is my best friend.Welp, it's time for us old gals to get into the tub, as it's grooming day for the pup and the mom.
I adopted this senior dog in Sept. 2020. She is a yorkie mix that is now 11 and has a plethora
of health issues. One of which is luxating patella. She has no knee caps and virtually no
thigh muscles. I tried every way I could imagine to groom her and ended up just getting
into the tub with her. I put on calming music and hold her in my lap until her anxiety subsides.
Then the grooming commences. Once that task has completed, we stand up and I hold her
while shampooing her. It is a pretty flawless endeavor this way.
About 1 hr. prior to grooming, she has low dose canna infused coconut oil as it helps
to calm her.
The day I thought I may be ready to find another fur friend, she had just been listed
for re homing. Serendipity perhaps?
The college kids that had rescued her from a shelter lost their jobs per
c19, needed to move in w/ allergic family
My newest fur baby is unlike any other dog I have been a guardian for.
I like big dogs w/ smooth coats and never have had a foofy dog lol.
She is such a delight and I love her to bits. She has come to trust me
and we are great friends. Never would I have imagined climbing into
the tub and grooming one of my dogs but... here we are.
Ah, the things we do for love aye?
I'd share some pix but am unable to upload atm.
Have a grand day!
Bolo could kick James Bond’s ass!!!If I did - I couldn't tell ya -
I know that yard! While this might look like a nice yard, if you walk down over across my lawn and look at your feet, you’ll see sand between all the little springs of grass. The weeds have taken over just about everything and insects, forget about it… I’m not quite as vain about my front lawn as I used to be. It would rival a golf course in most areas but now it’s what I got to live with… priorities change

Welcome....the older I get the more it hurts.I've reached Geezerdom, but like the saying goes, "The older I get, the better I was!"
According to the latest studies on the gut micro biome the reason for that is the bad microbes that like eating the sugar communicates to the brain (as most of the microbes do both good and bad) sending the signals that give you the cravings for sugary stuff. So to beat the sugary addiction not only do you need the will power to resist at first but you must also work on killing off those bad microbes and replace them with good ones. In my experience that takes about a week or two but after that it's pretty easy to resist the urge. The only problem is that in the diet of the modern world there is so much processed food where sugar is added (even foods you might not expect) that it's difficult to keep those bad microbes down for long.but I still like my toast and jelly!…..sugar is a difficult addiction to overcome but I am gaining on it!..
I bet you doI know that yard!

We should have a group button.Borrow Gypsy's button......good s-hit!
I totally agree with that.I totally avoid sugar.
I find it comforting that as one gets older one can't hear people farting, but the sense of smell is failing too! win-win methinks!
