I received a letter yesterday informing of Oregon's first ever Herb Auction open only to dispensaries, ommp growers, and licensed processors/wholesalers. Its early December in Medford

Once January 1 comes, if a Dispensary isn't in the process of receiving their license, they'll revert back to med only. It's a long process and I think many shops are lagging behind thinking they can apply last minute. January is going to be a challenge for many

If you don't think things are going to change, (shake my head), don't be surprised when the pendulum swings.

This whole "burn your moldy weed" thing is SO wasteful and driven by ignorance. Boytritis is destroyed in the CO2 extraction process and any off flavors can be filtered out with a 0.2mm filter (thanks to GreyWolf for that bit); the nastier post-harvest aspergillus mold is also destroyed by CO2, but it's byproducts (aflatoxin) require a second processing step--but it's simple! When winterizing your oil, add activated charcoal in equal parts to your oil (just oil, not oil + ethanol) and keep it agitated for a while (12 hours to be safe). Boom. No more bad stuff.

Waste not, want not!

Yep. I do not understand the burning, when they could process it out. Ignorance I guess?

In the city that banned all outdoor growing? Is this a joke?

California marijuana would fail Oregon’s standards, study finds

California marijuana would fail Oregon’s standards, study finds

PRO TIP: Myclobutanil = Eagle 20 and others...

Experts have found that the majority of California’s cannabis is not up to the same quality standards that Oregon growers adhere to. According to new data provided by Steep Hill Labs and New Frontier, an overwhelming majority of marijuana grown in California would fail to meet testing standards held by the Oregon Liquor Control Commission (OLCC), reports Civilized.
Steep Hill found that 83 percent of California’s cannabis products would not meet the testing standards required by labs certified by the Oregon Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (ORELAP), which gives Oregon the distinction of incorporating the strictest standards of all states with legal marijuana programs.
California’s cannabis products fail largely due to the use of the pesticide myclobutanil, which can turn into toxic hydrogen cyanide during combustion.
“Growers will significantly need to adapt their cultivation operations to address the high prevalence of pesticides, both to meet the state’s new regulations, and to address the growing concerns among consumers about the quality of cannabis they are ingesting,” reads a New Frontier Data press release.
Oregon’s marijuana supply has gone through the mandated tests since October 1, which determines levels of potency, moisture, and pesticides in flowers, edibles, extracts and other products.
“A year ago, when we first started testing product, we were finding very high rates of pesticides in the neighbourhood of 70 percent to 80 percent of the samples,” said Henry Grimmett, president of Portland’s GreenHaus Analytical Labs, in a recent interview with Civilized. “Now we’re finding in the neighborhood of 20 percent.”
The use of pesticides while growing marijuana has become a recent concern among states that allow legal or medical marijuana, causing health alerts to be issued in Colorado, Maine, and Oregon.

I think I accidentally recycled that auction letter. Looked for it a few different times to no avail but it exists. Haven't found anything on it through Internet search but will lyk if I hear anything further. Happy Thursday!

Any one know any good real estate agents in southern Oregon? I'm looking for land in Jackson and Josephine. My county here in California just banned commercial growing and are only allowing 50sq ft per parcel.

Craigslist has quite a few listings, but gotta get looking if I want to be able to grow next season

Hydrogen cyanide? Well, good for California. Kill off its own population to make room for more from south of the border.

As for coming up here and growing next season? That is not going to happen. Watch out for real estate in Southern Oregon, and know what you are getting into before buying any land here. Most parcels outside the urban green lines cannot be built on. Also to grow commercial rec weed, you have to have a water right, and many parcels in Southern Oregon that I looked at had really crappy wells. You also have to be in an area zoned farm/forest or agriculture, and you cannot get a license to grow (or do anything with rec weed) in Douglas County. Also license fees are high. A Tier II grow license is now $5,750 a year. That will get you just under an acre outdoors or in a greenhouse (unlighted) or 1/4 of that growing space indoors under lights. You also have to have a 10 foot perimeter wall for outdoor grows, a security camera system, commercial locks, a someone responds alarm system, bar code tracking, inventory and accounting system, and your weed has to pass a lot of tests (pesticides, mold, and THC/CBD %). You also have to have lived here for a year I believe, before they will give you a license to grow here. Also you have to have all this set up and done before they will let you apply for a license, and then they may take several months before they issue you one. So, do not expect to just buy and build and grow here. It is not an overnight process. It is more like a year long process. You can count out moving up here and growing this spring, anyway. You will have to target the Spring of 2018.

But you can move here and grow if you just want to grow 4 plants, which anyone can do as long as it is not outdoors in the city of Medford, or within 1000 yards of a school, or on Indian Reservation land, or on federal land of any type (national forest, BLM, or monument).

THC/CBD % ?!!!

Is this true that THC/CBD is being regulated? This is news to me. Can anyone confirm that there is a standard that must be passed for ratio of THC to CBD?

I have been breeding specifically for low CBD.

1.) I hate couch-lock.
2.) I believe low CBD increases anti depressant qualities and makes the THC level feel far more potent.
3.) CBD is not the only chemical in Cannabis that is analgesic.
4.) THC alone is anti inflammatory.

It is likely that I have misread the intent of the quote above. I have no problem with listing cannabinoid content, but please tell me that there is nothing that regulates cannabinoid content or ratios.

Thanks in advance,

ThaiBliss - Easily alarmed about this. LOL!
