Wet buds and 54mph gusts. One plant on its side this morning.... have to drive to check the rest.

I feel for you. My make shift green house is holding out so far but looks like shit (worse then ot already did ). I got my fingures crossed for all fighting the storm .

I heard about a company owner giving a certain lab 100k to 'hold their place in line ' . Funny thing is this lab isn't one of the four. Haha

That pricing is ridiculous. Sounds more and more everyday like organized crime. Labs not allowed to open due to not being accredited. Bottlenecks in testing, tested product hard to obtain even with increased pricing. Packaging changes, you name it. This has to be the biggest cluster fk since the original vote.

On the other hand a few well positioned and connected individuals stand to make a small fortune due to the bottleneck. Conspiracy theorists may begin to think this has been a deliberate failure. Ensuring less resistance for a huge company to take over the whole state.

Agreed :tiphat:

Wish trim was done here, I despise it. I'd rather scrub pots or haul dirt, dig holes etc. Anything but trim. Congrats on being done, envy you.

I grew early blooming strains this year, thinking that last year the weather here was soooo good, it would not happen 2 years in a row. Sure enough... bam! A wet September and a really stormy October.

Last summer here, Mediterranean climate, little or no rain and typical NorCal weather through October. This summer here, maritime climate, rains on and off through the summer and typical Seattle or BC weather.

I do not mind trimming that much. Not as bad as doing dishes. I used to be a professional dishwasher in HS. Had to do that to buy a car and weed in those days.

What cut of og did you get ? I got the fire og cut and after 2 indoor attemps i composted it . it was a pm nightmare took my hole garden out twice . smelled like lemon pinesol . will not grow again

The cure for PM is Neem oil, mixed at a rate of 1:100 with water. It will kill all the PM, usually within a day. My PM monster this year was GDP. It had PM even on the stems! Had to spray Neem every 3 weeks because of all the cool damp weather and rain this summer. The greenhouse had tons of condensation, especially at the end of Sept/early Oct. It was raining inside.

I have the Ghost cut of OG Kush. I got a baby clone about 2 years ago at a medical collective in PDX. Ghost and Tahoe are supposed to be the 2 best cuts of OG, but indoors for me last winter it was susceptible to (what I call) velvet stem rot. I lost the mother to stem rot that I did not see in time, so I bubble-cloned the crap out of the tops, which all took. I had 2 dozen of them that I gave away to my family and friends. They all grew it outside with good results.

I am replacing the fire ogs spot with "schrom" . its a better yielder then fire og but still fits that nitch of odd ball smell taste . i personaly dont care for schrom but like the mold/pm resistance coupled with a good yield . i will post some picks up when i get it ready to flower right now its a clone about 3 inch tall. I had a few bowls from the mother and it was above average minus tasting like mushroom s and Insence.

OHA & OLCC Request to Marijuana Industry Stakeholders: Provide Input on Concentrate, Extract and Edible Processor Testing
ACTION REQUIRED: Submit Proposed Solutions by Monday October 17th

Yah, I am on the OLCC email list. They want proposals AFTER the Oct 1 deadline? I asked them why the fuck they do not certify and license more labs? There are at least 13 more labs that have applied for test licenses... while the OLCC drags its fat ass on all license processing of all types. They knew the Oct. 1 date was coming, but they are the gov't: one speed, extra slow. Now they seem to be adding a dose of extra stupid.

I am so glad I pulled the plug on my rec grow license early on. They have increased the price on a Tier II annual rec grow license fees from the original $1,000 to $5,740 now. I am sure that will just keep going up, as license fees now have to pay for all OLCC administration costs of issuing MJ rec licenses, compared to the original Measure 91 calling for those costs to come out of the sales tax on weed. Bait and switch by the greedy socialist legislature.

Meanwhile, we have to wait until November to see if the long list of counties and cities will approve rec weed or not. Many have already opted out without a vote. This does not affect medical sales and grows, or the 4 plant personal home grows.

These counties in Oregon have opted out of rec weed and banned it:

Harney Co.
Malheur Co.
Umatilla Co.
Crook Co.
Wheeler Co.
Klamath Co.
Morrow Co.
Baler Co.
Union Co.

These counties have a vote in November to opt out of rec weed or not:

Marion Co.
Douglas Co.
Linn Co.
Lake Co.
Jefferson Co.

Deschutes Co. originally had it up for a vote, but then decided to support rec weed and cancelled the opt-out vote.

Here's the concentrate manual for labs:

https://public.health.oregon.gov/LaboratoryServices/EnvironmentalLaboratoryAccreditation/Documents/sop-002.pdf

The state requires 3 process validation studies on concentrates, each of those studies must have 20 random 1g samples pulled and analyzed. Pesticides ($3600) and residual solvents ($2400) have to be tested independently. $7200 alone to test for solvent presence in our CO2 oil. $110 / hour sampling fees. So that's 6 full studies altogether just to get going on each product. Each variety of oil sold is considered a separate product...It's just not going to work.

Labs who wanted to stay in the game invested hundreds of thousands in new equipment and training. It's one of the biggest clusterfucks I've ever seen and have no idea how they are going to resolve this in a way that works for everyone.

Yeah it's not feasible at all. I am starting to get more shatter in that's been tested at Iron labs. I'm meeting on Monday with a local extract guy and am interested to hear about his experience

How long before the shops run out of stock & I can start selling my homegrown for dispensary prices?
Can the medical dispensaries still sell buy medical flower & sell it recreationally?
Will there be weed riots?
How long before someone digs into (or fabricates effectively) Rob Partidge's shady history with the Boy Scouts, K-Falls , corrupt real estate dealings, possible foreign parentage and other stuff I might imagine to be within the realm of possibility and haven't yet been proven untrue?

We're living in exciting times, my condolences to people with significant skin in the game.
also congratulations to Main Street MMJ.

Yep. A big Charlie Foxtrot indeed. The email sent out by the OLCC says it all: [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Submit Proposed Solutions by Monday October 17th

Which means, "we do not have a forking clue!"

I don't foresee running out. We stocked up before the 1st heavy and already have rec licensed flower ready to buy from a few growers after we switch. The drop in stock was unavoidable and foreseeable. Flower testing costs barely went up. It's the extracts that are suffering.

Well, my 'friend' (I do not know him that well, but I have talked to him a lot) that owns Canna Daddy's claims he can get all the weed he needs to sell. But he was the largest green cross dispensary in Oregon before rec weed was made legal, and he had one of the first rec licenses granted by the OLCC on October 1. He said that the new rec weed sales building cost him a fortune though, many hundreds of thousands to the contractors and the city of Portland in endless permits and required changes. That was to convert a building from a defunct business down and across the street from his dispensary into the new rec weed outlet.

As for testing, they (the OLCC and OHA) have made temporary rules that are in effect until March 1, 2017. The rules allow for a smaller numbers of tests for pesticides until more labs come on line. The rules also allow medical dispensaries converting to rec sales stores to sell untested weed at dispensaries IF they got it before October 1 and IF it has a big label on it stating that it is untested and gotten before October 1. Untested medical weed can be sold as rec weed until March 1 of 2017. They are being rigid on the packaging and labeling requirements though, and no more strain names like Grape Ape or Girl Scout Cookies (they say those would appeal too much to the kiddies).
