Nice. Anyone else have any rooting tip / regimines for rooting the ogs?
With anything good it doesnt cone easy. Just wish we could fill all spaces with og, always end up plugging in other shit just to fill space in.

In answer to the questions I have received - It is The Original Clone only that was later called OG Kush, 'cause Hippies hated anything implying Chemicals in their bud. (while all the growers used Miracle Gro, and poisoned peoples wells). From CO via Boston, via the Bay Area SF. I was the first (that we all knew of), growing it in a Greenhouse in the corner of NorCal I found myself in at the time. Walked into the only dispensary at the time that was over the hill, an hour away, and they were talking about the bud that came from over the hill, that my Partners sold 'em. And they were talking about Me. Surreal moment. I said nothing. But chose something else. haha.
It did really win the awards below, and got a lot of attention (some unwanted) in AMS at the Cup of 2006. When I was able to send myself some.

ya healthy mothers is the key.. they gotta be perfect.. if theyre not healthy at all chances are they wont root.
ive always assumed the og's that are hard to root are the old ones closest to the original.. ive lost a lot of og's due to them not rooting and i swear its always the ones i wanna keep haha.. the subpar ones always root easy for me lol.. prolly cuz theyre newer ogs from seeds
just got a cut from a disp. i used to go to.. its called arts og.. i grew it out few years back and it was fire so when i saw it again i grabbed one up.. prolly just renamed.
not gonna collect them like i did before.. probably just gonna keep a few of my favorites..
my favorites being king louie, diablo, skywalker, and a cut i have just labeled og kush.
but if any of the harder to find cuts come my way like triangle, ghost, legend, i will definitely keep them im just not in the loop anymore like i once was. lost touch with everyone so i gotta be fortunate for what i can get.

For a while you had a very long list of ogs. But i hear ya on being fortunate with the cuts one curretnly has.
Only true OG Ive grown is the Larry. Hoping to step my kush game up in 2015. I dont have it any more but luckily I hit it with a male from Elites LLOGK. Which I believe is really LLOGK/Sour. I inbred this line once, and Ive never found a plant that wasnt fire within these seeds.

i can only imagine how crazy the og game has gotten with all the seed companys and different breeders dropping og kush seeds.. before we just had swerve. now theres dna, rare dankness, bhodi, emerald triangle, sin city and a few other new fly by night companys. all these seeds produce different phenos which probably end up all with new names. and we thought it was crazy before with the usual suspects that were probably different phenos found in og bagseed over the years. now its just out of hand. if i ever put a name on an og is what cuz i had a few different cuts come to be as just "og kush" so i'd throw a name like slauson og or something to differentiate them in my garden but never took something with a known name and changed it. never found a pheno from say a docs cut pack for example and gave it a new name.
a lot of the ogs i had were probably doubles.. such as renames of other ones.. im sure some fake, some maybe not even og, some legit, etc etc. got some from good reliable friends, some from really good shops, some from janky lookin shops.. they came from everywhere. i was just trying to test out different ones and see the differences and maybe find out which ones are my favorites. i never did get a chance to flower and smoke them so it was kind of a bummer.
ive grown a handful of different og cuts a number of times and known them to be legit real deal cuts so i can speak on them. heres a little run down...
the tahoe is a great cut and its widely available, if you know for sure its the original tahoe i would recommend it but if you dont know for sure its not worth the risk of ending up with one of swereves less then stellar phenos although there are good phenos from swerve as well. so the real one is widely available but the majority of clones labeled tahoe are phenos from swerve so its not worth the gamble.
same thing for sfv and larry. i like the real sfv cut, its more lemony and yields decent.
hells angel is good but doesnt impress me as much as the others.
skywalker is one of my favorites and it is widely available in the LA area but there are a lot of fakes around, some not even og just skywalker (the blueberry/mazar which has nothing to do with the real skywalker og) if you know its definitely the real deal skywalker grab it!
diablo is another one of my favorites, ive always had such good luck with it. nice yield for an og of beautiful dense og nugs that smell like pure og pine sol. if i came across a tray i would buy it up and do a good run with it and keep a mother. im definitely on the lookout for this one and its not hard to find either. a lot of shops have diablo clones if you catch em at the right time. im just waiting.
king louie has always been good to me too but a pain in the ass to root. ive ran it a lot and like the diablo its always perfect. beautiful og nugs. if i see the real deal im gonna definitely add it to my small collection im rebuilding.
cypress hill i grew a lot too and its solid. all around good og.. not as good as some of the others but still fire. wouldnt mind running it again.
true og is good but i wouldnt run her again, i dont like how she grows, real viney and floppy with low yielding small og buds. the buds are amazing though. some of the best og ive seen. some people might have better luck with it, i just didnt.
valley og is like the tahoe to me if i remember correctly. i think its better though. definitely one of the top ogs ive run.
$100 og was another really bomb solid og.. at the time i loved it but could never seem to keep it cuz its so hard to clone.

I wish I could not collect the OG's like you slausongardens, way too many fakes here where I'm at. This is my favorite thread, just love the pictures.
I got an XXX OG which is suppose to be a So cal master x bubba so it's not even an OG. Whoever named it should have to go without weed for a month. And I have a supposed True OG, hardly any stretch in veg so I am sure it's a fake. Cloneville in Seattle is a total waste.
Page 45 on this thread has some great shots.
I couldn't be happier with the Triple Diesel Cut I have found. It has it all. Some say OG is in there, some say Strawberry Diesel. I would say there is deffo some OG in there, but since they are all related, no way to pinpoint it. The NYCD is supposedly based on the original Chemdog.. So ECSD, and that, with whatever third element is present OG or Straw Deez..
Growing the original Chemdog was a shitfest compared to this one.. I love it..

Valley is a wonderful cut..I think I have an album here titled "best smelling pot on earth" or some such...can't wait to find out how far from the original she is...smells almost identical to the tk that was passing around here in socal...just toned down a notch...tk = 10 in smell...valley a 9.5...
