Looking good their trich, they tidied up nicely.

Coming close the end for the Stella Sisters. Am thinking of popping them into my main flowering cab for their last week or so. Just gotta bite the bullet and chop one of the big girls in their to make space.
Yellowing of the leaves progressing, I'm pinching them out as wilt. Hopefully they will defoilate the lot to save my triming later.

So, to the pictures. My usual group shot is of the ladies in their ghetto home. Next is bushys top bud, followed by a midway bud pair from lankys stalk.

When is the official end of this comp? I know its 120 days, does that make it the end of the month? It's almost time to dust off my camera (been using my phones cam up til now).

My 14th update (02-09-2012 - End of week 14 - Near the END.)

Still deficient and that's how they'll need to survive for another 1 week or one and a half, they will receive plain water from now on.
As B31, the one most affected by the N toxicity they had looks like just started to flower (and they're over 7 weeks into flowering already), i culled it, I want to be finished with this plants soon so i can make some changes to the flower space and start another round in there as fast as i can. As I said, the flowering was delayed for at least 1 week because of the N toxicity. Despite the problems, I'm happy that I could keep them alive, this beeing the first time i try something like this.

P.s. They smell great, despite their looks..

A2_1 & A2_2 = Aurora Indica x (White Rhino (purple pheno) x Skunk#1 BX1)
B31 (gone at update 14) & B71= selected White Rhino (purple pheno) x Skunk#1 BX1 crosses

3 weeks, Sept 23

Bad news in the jd garden--looks like I'm down a plant.

Not sure what happened but here's the rundown. I skipped a watering the other morning but the tray they're sitting in wasn't completely dry so it shouldn't be a big deal. I went to water them after work and they were all looking a bit down but not too bad, except #3 which was drooping a lot. After the watering they all quickly perked right back up except for #3. I haven't quite given up all hope yet but as you'll see when I get my pics she's looking like a goner.

Not sure what else. I've been hitting them with ACT and a kelp/alfalfa tea occasionally. Maybe she got a bit of a boost from the alfalfa and couldn't handle it? Dunno. Everyone else has gotten the same treatment and is doing fine. I've got a clone of this one in veg so I can try her again.

Pix tomorrow.

Hey everyone. Trichrider they look great! I am harvesting tonight.
They have been in the flower room 10 weeks, but didnt show pistils for the first week and a half. So i started counting from there.

Had to be far back to get them both in shot

This is my favorite smells like blueberry cake donuts, sugary and fruity wonder if I can reveg her.

Shot from the other one, taller of the two. Smell is sweet with a kinda pepper hint. Its weird.

Root shot. Soaked them down in water, but they look the same. Where did all the soil go?

This has been a fun challenge, thanks everyone! Smoke report when they are dry.

U should REveg them. I have reveged some plants in my past grows and the 2ed flowering gave many more buds. just my 2 cents.

also Trichrider and delic ur ladies look great. very very nice job.

Its too bad that most of the plants I had in beer cups this year ended up hermmie. waa waa. that mess f-up my whole years worth of hurb so far. now I just gotta wate n see what my OD garden brings in yield...

but I now im vegging some clones and started some new seeds and ill be vegen all these for 2 months befor I flowerem.

wow john. the other girls are spectacular...i can't fathom what would do that overnight though...just thankful it didn't happen to me. lol, not that i'm glad it happened to you. :ying:

this challenge has been a quality learning experience for me (and i'm sure others) pulling me out of my complacancy and forcing me to adapt to new parameters.

and like Toes previously said, aquisition of new friendships made this something special...beyond winning a few free seeds, or even completing the challenge.

shout out to all who fell by the way, buck up boys!

till next time...

Dam, fungus gnats larve have arrived in bushys beer can. I must been watering too much. I don't have any sand but have some perlite, should I crush some up? got some neam oil as well so will mix up a little spray.
But I suppose it shouldn't be that bad since the grow is almost done. hmmm

Dont waste your time with sand or perlite. Ive tried them both, and they did jack shit. Mosquito dunks are the best at getting rid of fungus gnats. Takes 2-3 weeks though, so probably not worth it since your near harvest.

cheers Dave, I gave them a tiny drink of plant valtality anti bug stuff today. No proper watering, also put a sticky bug trap sheet in the cab. I am not overly bothered, but bugs bug me, even in my ghetto box.
They are in the home sraight now, so I'll just wait and see

nice looking ladies you guys got, sorry bout your troubles John Deere, looks like something damaged the roots in that cup. dried out too much one day maybe? whatever it was caused the plant to stop taking up water.

+1 ........ i tried all organic last round and had to go with some chem nutes before i even got through veg. keeping the herd happy in a beer cup is a step or four beyond my abilities

Well, not a true organic run IMHO. I'm using up my old General Organics lineup I got a few years ago. I'm also giving them regular ACT and occasional kelp/alfalfa teas. I'm still trying to figure out how to go full organic next time. Lots of top dressing and teas I'm guessing.

For soil I'm using LC's mix (organics for beginners thread) which I topped w/some Napa 8822 (DE) as mulch.
