hi blynx - no need to be like that - you misread my question,
i asked if you had tried to flower 9 plants that size in your cab. in the previous grows where you grew 9 plants they were much smaller.
i was suggesting you grew 9 plants where the yield from each plant averaged about a quarter oz like the ones above.
the colas on my square foot scrog screens come out at around a quarter each and i manage to squeeze 9-12 of them per square foot - so you can pack them in - whether they are sog or scrog doesnt have to effect that (although you do need good ventilation). i might be able to make some suggestions as to how you can increase your yield - that is if you are interested? - after all we are all here to learn from each other right
heres an example - UK cheese - just finished at day 68
top view - in the cab the buds get squashed together to the size of the screen by the other 3 plants
Yep I missed the that size, I apologize for coming off like a jerk.
An important thing to keep in mind with this cfl cab is that I am not interested in doing any kind of scrog or tyeing down.
This cab is for fun, but I also want it to be as hands off a cab as I can, while growing in soil and only watering with tap water.
While I do look to increase yield, it is through finding a good combination of strain/container size/start size/etc, and not through training of the plant.
It looks like you use a single container per square foot, I still haven't tried that and not sure if I'll be able to (I'd have to build it in cuz I wouldn't be able to get a 1sq ft tub into the cab). So I'm limited to using multiple containers.
You are also using an HPS while I'm using CFLs. I do believe HPS does make a difference in terms of ability to make a thicker canopy than CFL if you are doing a scrog like yourself. The HPS gives a wider spread than the cfl even if using multiple cfls.
I have 3 plants going in one container under a cfl and it remains to be seen what the yield will be. I had thought that 3 would be the ideal number, but now I'm not so sure. I think they are too crowded. They 'canopy' looks good, it has 3 nice top colas, but there isn't much going on down below that, and relatively speaking the colas are smaller than if you grew a single or double in the container.
I'm open to any ideas that don't involve plant training (scrog, tyeing, etc), feeding the plant during flowering, or changing mediums.
