Intentional Columbian s1's.

Tiny black beans of intrigue and wonder. Also doom. These check out like a porno mag in a high school library too.

The hurricane forced her down early. It's basically the apocalypse in these here mountains RN. Just starting on the trimming.

Figured I might as well try and get more Columbians. Looks successful so far. That was pretty easy. Good ole colloidal silver 🤙

Have you not noticed that this is the Mexican landrace thread?
no one seemed to mind when i started posting the columbian here, oh idk, bout 6 months ago now.

When i was pointed to post in this thread with questions about the columbian no one seemed to mind then either.

Really it seemed like people only started to mind when i started posting outdoor plants that looked better then theirs did lmao.

No one cared til now :ROFLMAO: i been here a while though.

i actually would very much be interested. Can do a trade potentially?
High elevation down south. All my plants stretched and fell into flower early. started em pretty much outside in april and they were ready and willing come second half of july. We dont really get twilight hours here. Just kind of all of a sudden day, then all of a sudden night.

Ill have a feminized F2 of these two coming soon to hunt for hermie resistant clones. I dont have any more of the original seeds after these poppings. No suitable males of a pure enough lineage, so i pulled the silver out on one small branch overhanging the plant in the 3rd/4th/5th image. Two purest plants i got from the cross. Very glad the beans were still viable. Been several years.

Pheno in first two picks smells of bubblegum, with some columbian skunk-ass over top. 3/4/5 just smells very strongly of cannabis. It's a little crazy in the sticky gooey department too. It glues my arm hairs together when im messing with it already. no sweet or fruity, no gassy, no floral. Just very strongly of cannabis, only way i know to describe it.

All of the plants from the crosses regardless of the direction the phenotypes went have had unbelievably good structure. Fantastic pm and fungal infection resistance. Ive never seen plants so perfectly formed and symmetrical before. Ill take any sativa land races i can get lmao. Looking at plants of this lineage almost makes me tear up lmao.

I have a male from a Nevil's NL x Pure Indica Ive hit this one with. this ones pure electric, super sharp columbian skunk-ass lol. This thing absolutely stinks. It's the raunchiest skunkiest plant ive ever grown. It absolutely wreaks in the best way possible. clones of this one will be around for quite some time if i have anything to say about it.

heres a pic of this cola, just because i climb the ladder to sit and stare at it myself. She got that fire-crotch in her heart, can already tell.

I also read through the thread to make sure there was discussion of other sativa land races before posting. there was. Plenty. So i posted. The columbian had a good bit of discussion going on many pages back. So does some other south american. Also realized med man knows some shit, so instead of taking discussion private to DM's, i intentionally left most in public forum, because thats what a public forum is for. Education and the spread of information.

im also wanting to spread these seeds, not necessarily trade, and def not sell them. And figured this is a good place to talk about them. Chances are theres plenty in here who would wanna play with the land racey beans. Plenty have def inquired already. Wasn't wrong.

i do apologize if ive taken the thread off topic with the pics, but as far as the discussion went, its not anywhere it hasnt drifted before already, i learned how to properly ID and differentiate the columbian seed from other sativa from this thread lmao. Is an entire post on it like 40 pages back. Big post. Full of useful info. Was the tid-bit i needed that confirmed the authenticity of my lineages for me tbh.

I would personally prefer if I read about Mexican landraces when I open this thread, that's why I open it. It's been pages since there was something relevant. And don't get me wrong, it's great to compare to Colombians and other kinds of sativas, but it's a matter of balance. Don't use this thread as a grow diary of something that's neither Mexican, nor landrace. I really love to read the landraces threads for historical "flavor" - not just how some plants look, but also the story of how the seeds were sourced, what are the locals and environment that have selected the strain, photos of grow patches in the native scenery, photos that capture the locals and buildings, how they live and dress, what they eat. These threads are rich of culture. Not every post is expected to be such, but let's not dilute the essence much.

I'm currently exploring the F2s of @vermontman's Zacateca Tribute hybrid (Vermontman's Mexican heirloom x Big Sur Holy Weed). It's the best (mostly) Mexican weed I've grown and smoked. It's very quick to flower and at first I thought 'no way this is authentic Mexican' but the high and flavor are indeed authentic and lovely.

@vermontman considers his Mexican heirloom to be Oaxacan by the similarity to pictures, what's sure is that it came from Mexico (https://www.icmag.com/threads/green...agreement-with-ace-seeds.380245/post-17980311). I must say Zacateca Tribute smells very similarly to a truly special plant that was a Mexican leaning pheno of Nirvana Special - a hybrid of another Oaxacan (Sativa Mexicana x Jock Horror) of about 15 years ago... Zacateca Tribute consistently gives very similar smells, so it indeed feels like (a hybrid of) Oaxacan Gold, or a similar highland Mexican.

Fortunately there still many pure mexican heirlooms/landraces growing on isolated places.
Unfortunately nothing easy to get seeds of this pure mexican sativas
no one knows the effort to get these seeds
If people can only imagine what I has to do to be able to obtain them...
Mexican sativa from Veracruz area.

ive tried and failed many times.

I got super lucky with those columbian beans.

right place right time and beers were being drunk. Ive had "columbian gold" from several seedbanks and it was nothing like the far more convincingly pure sativa columbian i got from that old deadhead.

ive popped lots of "acapulco gold" from some people and various seedbanks and havent had a single plant even CLOSE to as convinncingly land race sativa as what you just pictured here.

yummy land race hash

Tell ya what, How about this.

The OP of the thread specifically told me he doesn't mind. Considering the thread had been totally dead for a while before my discussion revived it ...

What's your problem again?

If that's not good enough, sorry your ego feels threatened I guess :dance013: and i don't care what you want. It isn't your thread and I have no idea who you are. In fact the only thing I know about you, is you have an ego the size of Manhatten, so I don't really care to know anything else about you either. Carry on, and try not to let this ruin your day :)

No wonder the weed forums are dead compared to years ago. Dead or filled with snobs and children lol. I met my goal though. I got the information i needed and got in touch with several interested in the columbian and hybrids. And that thai.

And im getting exactly what i was after for it. Mexican land races. Whooda thunk the mexican land race thread was the right place to make that happen. Lucky guess. Shot in the dark i suppose.

Seriously, some of you need to deflate your ego's a bit. (more then a bit)

I also like to read about Mexican landraces. I focused on sativas this season in my garden.

I have 3 of vermontman's offerings going in the garden this year.
Sounds like i need to try this one too.

I'm chopping 🪓 this Green Mountain Grape 🍇 in the morning light.

Lovely plants, chischas! I have great memories of Mexican weed from visiting Califonia in the 80s, some of the best smoke ever. Glad you still can find some of the old, and that you make the effort :). Lovely to see!

I have this image, I think Mexico? Blows me away...
