this thread seems perfect for a couple questions I have regarding some seeds I have recently acquired, Oaxacan x Colombian from Coastal Seed Co. Sierra Mixteca x Colombian Red more specifically. I haven’t found much info online.

Looking for advice on whether sativas from this region tend to be nutrient sensitive and if they should do ok under LEDs?
Would you experienced folks flower clones right away or give them a week or so veg time before flip in a 4x4 tent?

I’ve tried a full sativa before (Vietnamese Black) and didn’t consider that grow a success but I have learned from it which is good I guess.

Thanks y’all :tiphat:

Hello Elchischas!
These pics makes me want to move to Mexico!
What year are these growing?

Hi vertmonman, how are you bro?
sorry for the late, i'm not used to come here so often, You can find me everyday on GM
That crop is from this past season, i'm searching for the legendary súper strong trippy Guerrero sativa. In the past Foreigners called "Acapulco Gold" but the weed never grow at Acápulco not even near! On the highlands of Guerrero there's a legendary strain knows as "caca de cabra" (goat shit) or "caca de chango" (Monkey shit) everyone that has tried knows how good and strong it is until this days. That's why farmers at the Guerrero Mountains still keep it growing. Definately i'm sure that the caca de cabra its the same strain that in the past people used to call "Acapulco Gold".

Hey unregistered!
Most Sativa do very well under LED
Oaxacan Gold under red heavy Galaxyhydro LED this line can be a bit nute sensitive simply because it is IBL but crosses should
be a bit more tolerant.
Hope that helps!

I love the contrast in what it's called by the locals vs in America. One man's shit is other man's gold.

Having seen the beautiful reds in the sunsets in the coast of Oaxaca and the mountains I can see how the red spectrum could be something that Oaxacan Gold likes

Heh,heh,heh...

I have heard the name "dorada": De Guerrero (Acapulco Gold ?), De Sinaloa, De Santa Marta or Moño Amarillo (Colombian Gold ?)... But as I am in the old world, and here those names came from Spaniards who emigrated there, or from Spanish-Americans who immigrated here (most the first), I don't know if they were "original" or "invented"?
However, in the western Canary Islands, in the Canary Islands, I think they called some of the local grasses there, because of their color, La Rubia (which could be translated into English as Gold, at a given moment).

^^ Good to hear elchischas. I have had similar/same and know firsthand that it is no joke. No tolerance and I was with the angels for a few minutes anyways. Scary too but well worth it.

Hi bro... How are you?
still out there really pure good stuff sativa
In small amounts but there's people that grow it
A good friend of mine is smoking now a truly "cola de borrego" (lamb tail) de Sinaloa and he says that its really powerful and potent, like modern hybrids.
The potent weed is not about this days really powerful mota always existed.
