Hurd for Jalisco Haze that it have those scorching, speedy, racy, paranoia feel...

did anybody tryed them??

The one plant that I've grown is very strong & def has some zip to it. Not bedtime weed. It might be as you describe under certain circumstances but I'm never paranoid. I live in Colorado.

Pic in my albums.

Interview with breeder , he mentions a Yucatan sativa any info will be appreciated regarding Yucatan landraces, saludos mexicani-ar

I have some bagseed from Yucatan, I'm not sure of the strain or if it's Yucatecan grown or not - but it's definitely a sativa dominant strain. It's outdoors at 42 latitude, I'm hoping it's going to finish in time. I'm running them in the corn so they'll have to be pulled by late October whether they're finished or not.

I can get some more info about Yucatecan strains later this year, I spend a lot of time living there in Yucatan but I won't be heading back down for at least 3 more months.

I got 5 seeds that I brough back from Yucatan. I chose the best ones out of about 100 from the best ounce of "regular" I could find.. I used a magnifying glass to choose, and also (as per someone's method) to check seed craters for best chances of females. The weed wasn't too compressed, but it clearly wasn't cared for - or harvested and trimmed very well. It had a very sativa/hazy bud structure and the high was phenomenal. This shit had me paranoid to the max if I took anything more than 2 hits. So, naturally I started going through the bag for seed since I was leaving Mexico in a month.

All 5 seeds popped. They were under a CFL for 2 weeks with very slow growth. Planted into larger pots, started to ween them into the outdoors during the days. Growth was very slow for the first 6 weeks.

Leaves were never super wide, but a bit wider than in this first pic. The leaves do continue to thin out, lengthen and take on a more sativa look as they grow. After about week 8 to 10, they really began to take off.

This image is from the 7th or 8th week, there are 4 plants here. Each was fimmed 2 weeks prior.

These next 4 images are from week 9 or 10. Took inside to transplant into larger pots with beter soil and get rid of some useless lower leaves that were browned out. They were originally in a cheap & wayyyy too hot soil.

Right now 3 of the 4 are out in a cornfield, have doubled in size in just a month, and are standing about 6+ feet tall. They're at 14 weeks and just exploding with growth. Getting big and stretchy with continually more sativa-like leaves and branching structure. 1 of those 4 was assumed to be male and was lost. I haven't taken any recent photos since I put them out in the field, but I'll have some more pics of them in the next few days once I get out there to water.

I don't know if it's a Yucatecan strain, but it's possible. Furthermore, I don't know if this plant - whatever the strain is - was grown in the Yucatan but that's highly doubtful. Regardless, it is a difinitive mexican strain, it is Sativa dominant, and it came from bagseed that I bought in Yucatan. The dealer said the weed came straigh from Oaxaca where it's grown. He knew no other info of the strain or origins. I was hoping he'd know his shit, but he's just a simple dealer of average quality weed.

This is my favorite thread on the forum to browse. Here's to hoping that whatever these are, they will finish in time before the farmer comes to chop the corn. I'd hate to have to pull them early.

^^ Curious how the high compares with the intense high from Mexican grown pot. I am assuming the high will be more mild with milder sun on the plants.

No pics yet, I wanted to wait till they were 'done'. I usually take a picture just before chop. The jarilla is wispy and the jalisco has a bit of density to it.

These are the Jalisco at 78 days flower( left two pics). Though many white pistils and few amber trichs I will chop these tomorrow or the end of week. I took a small toke from a sample bud and it seemed ready, not racy and potent. As potent as the Oaxacan and maybe more 'trippy', less intense and more 'hazy' than the Oaxacan. Tunnel vision and foggy visual effect, though subtle as this was one small hit. Both of these are surprisingly potent for me. Mexican used to be regarded as somewhat weak, commercial anyways. Not these ese.

The Oaxacan makes things feel more 'bright' too I guess. Enhances colors more I think. The Oaxacan is reputed to be a visual strain. Neither messes up my thinking a lot, The Jalisco is quite mellow. I did a decent hit ( like twice what I was doing) of the Oaxacan the other day and for 10 minutes on the come up or peak, it got pretty intense. 10 minutes after toking and then about 10 minutes of whoa!

Very early days but the Jalisco might be more to my liking.

The Jarilla ( 3rd and 4th pics, left to right) looks to go another week or two. No amber trichs and many white pistils. So 12 or 13 weeks flower. It is floppy but I bent some branches to make it fit under light and that really made it droop.:)

The Green and Purple are both from the same region. Oaxacan

The pictures make it look compressed but it grows in that manner, long thin whispy buds that stay tight to the stem.

got lucky and found this purple type. Not sure if its a phenotype or a different variety. Something special for sure. Light smell but once its on fire it smells really strong. Has that blue smell, grapey, hazy

Here's a little update on the Yucatecan bag seeds. Again, bagseed from an unknown but definitely sativa-dominant strain.

Growing in the cornfields at about 42 latitude. Sorry for the picture quality but it's hard to get good lighting and angles in the corn. Especially in the evening.

They are at 16 weeks from seed and just started flowiering a couple days ago. Had 1 male, pulled it. The rest are female. The tallest of them is abot 8.5 feet. They're all looking healthy and good. Had some issues with one, not a huge deal, they're outdoors in the corn so - it is what it is!
