cross between two landrace indicas , nepal x chitral ( green )
the nepal last year, I think people could debate about how pure of an indica it is
nepal x chitral indoors to select a female ( seeded by a pure haze male )
this is under 30watt cfl to select a female, I decided to let it flower, this was around 30 days, the outdoor picture is from a couple of days ago, it has nice vigour, growing about 1" a day.
from the indoor cut I expect something piney/acrid/lemony/ethereal
A landrace is a local variety of a domesticated animal or plant species which has developed largely by natural processes, by adaptation to the natural and cultural environment in which it lives. It differs from a formal breed which has been bred deliberately to conform to a particular standard type.Landraces are usually more genetically and physically diverse than formal breeds . Many formal breeds originated from landraces, and sometimes a particular type has both landrace and formal breed populations. Sometimes a formalised breed retains the "landrace" name, despite no longer being a true landrace.
diversity == survivability. many drug type cannabis strains have the potential to become landrace strains I believe, if without any human intervention they can survive and assure their progeny I think that's enough to be called a landrace, but with diversity a number of plants that would not survive will be naturally culled leaving only those best suited for the land
Thanks for the reply. : ) I knew what it was as I looked it up on wiki. Just wondering if anyone else knew what landrace was. I really appreciate your personal perception that was nice thanks. + rep for accepting challenge
Curious, do Mexican Indicas exist? I can find plenty on Mexican Sativas but nothing on indicas. I figure they at least have a tropical type? Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks!
Darwin - thats interesting , about the trifoliate...... go over to UDG, find my thread about "alternating poly nodes"..... i had a male plant do what yours did, and then the branches starting alternating between tri and bi nodal growth... interesting stuff
PS i'm banned from UDG, hence why i cant get you a link
I hope that I don't get chastised from the community for posting my bag seed indica here. I just thought that a plant doesn't get much more Indica than this.
These were about 1.5 wks before chop. Veg was slow and barely any stretch. She went 63 days and was mostly amber (not brown trichs). Great meds. A true knock out.
