*The K.I.S.S. Method*

When I first transplant a seedlings in coco I let the coco dry out in between waterings until they start needed water everyday, then I water everyday, to run off.
*when I say "water" I mean with nutrients. I'm one of those who never flushes his coco unitl 2 weeks before chop time:)
Thanks Evl! Sounds simple enoughf. I cant wait to shut down my biggass ecopluss and put my fog nozzles in my drawers. Il be lookin at this thread and then in 3 weeks Il start the K.I.S.S. Good lookin out Evl!

Has ANYONE with a meter read the ppm's after adding MB to RO'd water?

Im not trying to be rude, Im just trying to compare to other simple feeding methods. Thanks friends

Sorry Hack!!! Keep seein your question and getting distracted (or stoned! lol)

As of this point, nobody to my knowledge in here is using RO. I know Evl WAS, but then stopped when he found no difference in the yield/quality of his bud.

I can make a point of it, if you wish... I have a jug of Distilled laying around from The Still.

Most people just measure the water before and after, then subtract the difference.

HOWEVER....as you may know, low PPM water is verrrry finicky when it comes to adding things with extreme pH into the solution...nothing to buffer it. I would suggest at least trying to use local jurisdiction tap if possible.
If you can drink it, they can.

Once again, apologies for the amount of time it took to reply.

Yeah, when I did use RO and MB I never checked the ppm's.
As Ioni said, I quickly realized their was no difference in plant health between tap and RO so I went back to tap.

I'll add in that I did use RO for a while, I actually ran a side by side RO vs Tap for a while until I realized there's no difference at all in growth.

Here was a pic of RO vs Tap, RO left, Tap right.

My tap water is 300ppm.

Those nugs are lookin proper PMonster! I have currently switched over to MB but after doing some research I have found that MB contains very high levels of heavy metals.. This concerns me a bit to be honest.. I still have a bunch of canna, so I might just switch back..

Thanks PM.. How's the taste with the MB?

I actually thought it tasted better than my organics grow. Maybe its just me, but it has alot more frost, so I guess more terpines? Which I would guess would make it more flavorful? I guess that was my stoned theory as to why I thought it tasted better.

I think its awesome and tastes great personally.

Well I just looked in my flower room and it seems like we could fill 12 x 10 gallon coleman coolers with coco coir for bout 10 $ each! Amazon!

I got bout a 3 week wait and then its ON! Il start a thread in the grow diaries section. I just gotta find my usb cable and Il be able to post pics. We'l have 12 x 10 gallon iglu coolers, under 8 x 600 watt hps's. We'l be cuttin off a couple of DJ's Blue Dreams. Il tryan get a fyew pics up of what the room looks like now and how it progreses. I just gotta find my usb cable.

When my next cycle comes up, I think Im gonna give this a try for experimental purposes. However, I will be using RO'd water because I do NOT like the buffers that tap comes with. I like starting with a clean slate, and working up from there.

Have not check the thread out in a min but glad to see it still thriving. I see some are having problem with PH in their medium. I use use FNB 5ml to 8ml as my KISS. I use it in Hempy Perlite, Hempy Coco, BCuzz pots and Coco pots. In my experience with FNB when my PH is low is for the simple fact nute are being left in the medium. Several things can cause this and my problem was environment. When the room is too hot it cause the plants to take up more water leaving the nutes behind and eventually causing lockout when continuing to add feed.. Another is not enough light so the plant intake less nutes. Usually a lighter feed schedule will fix this problem or a feed feed then water till run off. There is nothing set in stone but this is what worked out for me and might be worth a try as the KISS is a starting point to success. Number 1 to me is environment. Get that in control or learn your room and the KISS plan will be quite effective. Mostly everything I encountered is PH buffered. So the more you add the more chances you have of PH fluctuation. Since the KISS only 2 things get used. FNB and F+. Here is a shot of the same plant in flower and with a 12day flush.

Here is a group shot of some CDXNL, GROMXC99, GROMXBD, StrawD, and OGer99. These are being fed 3ml to 5ml cause they are under T5 lighting. The medium is 4 to 1 Perlite/Coco with top dressing of Coco to keep the algae of the perlite. Different plants same mix.
