Here are some Maxibloom results. I've been told I'm about a week away from harvest.

This is short stuff#1. I'm supposed to get .25 -1.25 oz per plant. I don't know that I will exceed the 1.25 but maxibloom has indeed produced some bud.

I did have some burned tips but not on all plants.

Have you read page one?

At least once.

I ordered a loop and it should be here in a week. That will shed some light on how much longer these need to go.

If these grow for another 3 weeks, I'm pretty sure they will produce the high end range of 1.25 oz per plant. I'll be thrilled to produce any at all, as it's my first grow. If they do produce 1.25 oz per plant, then they will have grown to the breeders specifications. I can't ask for more than that from a Fertilizer.

I have some Mexican sativas coming up behind these. All have been on MB since early on and these are looking good too. Preflowers are showing. This is bag seed. Schwag, Reg, Dirt, Brick weed and Maxibloom is feeding them just fine.

I think my situation is a testament on how well MB actually works. If a first time grower can actually grow some bud on the very first attempt.

Quick question..

Getting close to flushing a few in soil. I had been feeding KISS throughout the grow (alongside Hempy hydroton/Coco comparison), do I still feed 7g MB in ADDITION to the KoolBloom? Or do I substitute the MB for KB?

7 g a gal is not a steadfast rule of thumb imo. It's better than just going by the scoop if you don't have a EC/TDS tester, but imo by far its much much easier, cleaner and better to feed by the ec. I just fill my rez 50-75% full dump in my MB til it reads a few points higher than 1.2 then dilute it back down with RO. Feed all the way till the end usually. No need for KB imo. I pull down great product without it, and never noticed a loss of yield vs a pk booster. In fact the opposite, I've locked up the budset by introducing pk's too early, if anything, you feel its lacking, just increase the strength of the base feed

Any maxigrow or maxibloom users that run in coco?

My real question is, do you add calmag to your feedings / does MB/MG have enough calmag for coco?

I've been adding CalMag Plus to every feeding since I switched to coco. I'm now wondering if others are also, or if I can drop it from my feed without issue.

Thanks!

Maybe with RO but with tap and Maxi it's usually cool. In the states that is. Some people use 1/2 tsp per gal. My tap, coco and maxi is good straight through harvest. Stick with bloom that's all you will need!

Good luck

Yupp, straight Maxibloom straight through is what I use in my coco ladies. I use an RO system, and do not add any calmag. At first I did, but then I thought that was kind of going against the K.I.S.S. method.

It's nice to come back to the kiss thread every once in a while and remind people 1 tsp Maxi BLOOM period!
But what about? How come?, if I did this? What about adding xyz?

Just the green scoop on the small side, some warm water shake, feed!!!! LOL

After dealing with maxibloom for at least 4 years now I would say keep using it. I started out using maxibloom at 7 grams per gallon plus 5 ml per gallon cal/mag. As of now that has slightly changed, I started running it at 5 grams per gallon. I now run it at 4 grams per gallon plus 5 ml cal/mag. Since doing this my yields have increased and plants thrive. I find that as long as the cal/mag levels are sufficient they really don't need or want too much more in coco. I make sure my cal/mag ec starts between .2-.3 and my overall ec doesn't rise above 1.8 max, my plants always thrive. And not just grow but thrive, the overall appearance the texture of leaves the uptake of nutrients everything improved.

I go on sometimes, all I meant to say was, keep up with cal/mag. PEACE!

Thanks for all the replies! :)

I should have mentioned that my cities tap water is around 35-80ppm (.5 ec scale)

I have been feeding roughly 3.5g/g MB and 3-5ml/g CalMag @ ~ 1.2-1.5ec during flower.

I ran mine to the end and had no issues with it at all. I grew bud, leaves and some major stems.

I have an empty tent right now but not for long. :)

The only questions I have about it is when to start MB for seedlings and at what strength.

My next run is Female seeds c99. I chop at 52 days from seed. That's not a lot of time to run MB.

If my first two weeks are just water, (no nutes) at what strength do I run MB at week 3, 4, 5? The whole grow is over at 7.5 weeks.

Nobody has posted a feeding schedule here but I think I read somewhere here to run MB full strength from start?

Rooted clones, get full strength. I get that, but what about growing from seeds?

We have similar water here and I run coco and KISS. Our water supplies 13ppm Mg & 48mg Ca. I've not used any supplements and for the most part the plants have done fine. I did see either a Mg or Mn deficiency right when I went into flower (looked most likely like Mn) but I attribute that with trying blumats on this grow. Blumats just keep the soil moist which is underwatering for coco, and not enough to keep a healthy ion balance. I wouldn't use them again in coco unless there's some kind of family emergency. Since I switched back to daily hand watering with lots of runoff (~25%), the problem cleared up and the girls finished like fat cats.

That's funny:biggrin: How come me and thousands of other guys are killing it with blumats? What really happened was you couldn't figure out the cause of your problems and have blamed blumats.:tiphat:
