Actually its not even close, they use very similar schedules however the Nova has many benefits that maxi does not.
Example... chelated minerals, much better source of micro nutrients, more stable ph buffers, etc
I have used both for many yrs, Maxi is awesome in its own way.. that being said, Flora Nova Bloom is a step up, resulting in greater yields and overall quality herbs.
if you shop around you can get a gallon for 56.00us, I have yet to see anything that tops it in ease of use and overall quality.
I have also tried the veg/bloom.. IMO, go with the maxi or nova
A lot of factors/variables go into taste, and taste is subjective. Personally, I would never go back to soil after growing in coco. To improve taste, I like to add Florilicious+, and sometimes "Sweet", citrus flavor. But terpenes are terpenes. Some plants have the stank, naturally, and some don't. But, the terpene profile can be modified to some extent by additives, like those mentioned, and by hormones and bennies.
You are not going to lose any yield with KISS compared to "coco nutes".
Anyway, yield in coco blows away soil. Triacontanol works well as a growth hormone.
keep it organic no ferts
organic no ferts?.....what the hell does that mean. stick it in a bucket of top soil and water it til it turns yellow. well anyway, does anyone who knows what the hell they are talking about have any input.it sounds like people are mitigating the hydro synthetics smell issue with floralicious which is a humic acid product. @retro thanks for the input! i am also considering staying on the botanicare line to see if the hybrid nature of that would keep it in line with my needs. i am curious to run one or two on a little tiny coco hydro self contained bucket to see what i think of how the flavor and aromas differ. looking to a kiss equivelent to botanicare. ill look in the lucas thread for similar conversions.keep it organic no ferts
