Quick question for hydro guys. I'm doing ebb and flow, so should I shut down my pump a few days before chop or keep flushing until the day of?

Two weeks before chop... stop adding nutes, stop balancing pH. Just top off with R/O water...

One word (If you've done everything else right) Daaaank!

Stay Safe! :blowbubbles:

Thanks I will do that, but I don't know if I can hold out for two weeks. I may need a big bud early for a taste.:)

I had KISS using MaxiBloom dialed in pretty good, but I switched to Veg+Bloom this grow and my plants are healthier than they ever were with Maxibloom..

Things are going great, already starting to resin up! That's a great sign, going to be really frosty in here soon!

One thing i have noticed switching to veg & bloom .... the stretch on my sativas has almost doubled !!! my last round took almost 4 weeks to stop stretching where it has always stopped around 3 weeks . & in my short headroom grow room ... thats not such a good thing .... they kinda got away from me

it works...Maxibloom 1tsp/gal..prosilicate 3ml/gal..and just started using MYKOS during transplant. In hempy buckets 3:1 Perlite/Vermiculite.

I just started using maxibloom in dwc does any one have pics of finished buds just using maxibloom

here's a shot of a couple White Rhinos grown in 2liter Coke-bottle hempys under a 400CMH and fed nothing but MaxiBloom

...they each yielded just under 2 zipz so nearly a quarter elbow in 4 liters of media.

...btw, do some research on hempy growing, it's WAY easier and simpler than DWC while giving similar results.

I've been a long time reader of this thread and love the idea. I have been using the Lucas system for the past year or so and find it extremely easy.. this sounded 1 step better.. I'm almost out of my liquid bases for Lucas, so I decided to try a 25 gallon mix of KISS. Being a brewer, I have a large Erlenmeyer flask and stir plate for starting my yeast cultures. Brilliant idea comes over me.. why not use the flask and stir plate to stir up my Maxibloom.. I weighed up the appropriate amount per the KISS method and put hot water in the flask and started the magnet spinning.. slowly pouring in the powder.. it turned a nice pink and was good and clear.. let the thing spin for about 8 hours.. turned it off and went back an hour later and the bottom of the flask was about 1/16 inch thick film of fine powder residue.. started the stir plate again and let it run for another 4 hours or so.. even MORE participate! Now I've let it run another several hours and the color is turning orange as opposed to pink that it started out as and seems to be turning a little cloudy.. I'm wondering if it's the intake of oxygen that's causing this.. the sediment seems to be growing rather than subsiding.. strange..

How hot are we talking? Skip the hot water.. The 30 minutes shaking in a jar... I fill up a 5 gal bucket with some tap.. Not cold.. Not hot.. Tap is around 80. I slowly drop in 700g's mixed that up an its good to go in about 5 minutes.. Crystal clear but a tiny bit of particles left behind. More like a pinch :joint:

actually, it wasn't hot at all. Tepid at best.. I'll give it a try with cold water, but i'm not gonna have all this sludge piling up in my reservoir.. I guess I could just pour it off and leave the sediment behind, but what part of the nutrient structure is in the sediment.. I might just stick with my 2 part liquid Lucas formula.. we'll see..

Well if you have a "sludge" an a layer forming your problem might be else where an not the maxi.. Maybe some contaminant that's in the tank? When I say particles I mean I'm only left with like a dime size pile after mixing 700g's in a 5 gal bucket. And I'm sure this stuff have some sorta cheap fillers in it.
