In my day you could buy a good used car for $100, then learn auto mechanics by keeping it running.

And a minimum-wage job would keep you in gas, insurance, and BEER.

In my day my mom would send me to the corner store with a note to get her smokes at 35 cents a pack. And gas was 32 cents a gallon.

In my day you addressed adults as Mr & Mrs, not by their first names.

In my day you got smacked for misbehaving by whatever adult was around and then again when you got home and that adult had told your parents what you'd done.

In my day you didn't lock your car, or your house.

In my day.. Jack Daniels was 8 bucks for a 750ml bottle. I remember collecting pocket change from my sock drawer to buy a bottle....lol

In my day.. A 12 pack of beer was 3.99 for the good stuff.

In my day.. We had huge 4th.of July block parties with tons of LEGAL fireworks, bricks of firecrackers and real M80s. Nobody got hurt, and we would steal beers from the coolers and celebrate without restrictions.God I miss that....

Now I remember everything in a can you had to have an opener for - no pull tops back then.

And you know- food seemed to taste better when I was a kid too.

In my day, cell phones didn't play annoying music every 5 minutes... in fact you could go all day long without talking to anyone on a phone and not die from it...

In my day....there was no such thing as 1/8th of an oz, 1/4 ozs...& it was very rare to even buy a 1/2 oz.

In my day....weed was never sold by the gram. It was rarely weighed-out. You'd get a 3-finger lid or a 4-finger lid & that's how weed was measured. Pot wasn't equal to the price of gold, so weight was no big deal. A few grams here...a few grams there...who gave a fuck? It was $15-$20. :joint:
