i'll have a toke on whatever frank's smokin' :)

i think objectivity is a key skill. Drawing realistic conclusions from trying this and that is very prone to fallacy - we change something and really want to hang any success on that change we made... but it could easily have been affected by any number of other environmental change we aren't taking into account.

a little arrogance can be a good thing imo, you should really believe in the way you grow and the methods you use - but be prepared to consider others' input and opinions.

that said, we need to keep a lid on our zealotry and make sure we dont cross the line and start hating on others and their methods just because they are different to ours, or we disagree with their opinions. that is BS and there should be no place for it when we are all on the same side, growing a plant we all love.

:) Loving the information I get while reading thru this thread. It's a gold mine.

I've read ALL the books out there, and some that haven't yet been printed, some that never will be (fortunately...) - all the books by so-called cannabis experts in English that is (Well also one in French, but that's another story).

I think all the pot authors focus too much on specifics and not enough on the basics of how to grow plants. Admittedly cannabis has different requirements from that of other agriculture, but the common knowledge and good sense garnered from years of hand-on practical experience with local conditions and specific cultivars is something to be celebrated. And where else can you do that easily except on forums like this?

thx all for sharing solid info. My first plant grown entirely on rain water in recycled organic soil.

hi there! I use only organic mixes based on peat moss, worm humus and some other things like zeolites and stuff.these are in recycled(may be twice recycled)soil+the soil on the place.I dont take care of them, this is Guerilla grow, just plant them(clones) and see whats happen after month(they were planted late,10 july). Now i added some sea weed and ashes.they just start flowering. For growing advices i count om my grandma and my women instinct(because i saw you arguing for some books):)

Hi guys,

I'm from the italian forum.. and I am an organic grower and I found this 3d useful..

...but is there also a social group ?

by the way ..these are my friends in organic growing:

worm casting , leonardite, lithothamium, macerated nettels, sea bird guano, bat guano, black molasso, perlite, microrrizze Glomus intraradices ..

unfortunately I cannot manage a grow box.. so I had to arrange with a self made grenn house.. in pure veranda style

.. and ... this is a little sample of my last girl.. a Durban (regular seed ) by Sensi Seed .. I will harvest "her" the next week end:

nice to be here :tiphat:

Garden two(this one is far away from where i live and the plants are growing on their own). Some of the plants were really tall,i didnt expect such growth this year and some of them were fall on the ground.next time i will shape them better but that new spot seems good.like i said i never buy ferts!:)
Bluhazy:hey, nice plants but they can be lot better if you transplant more than once and if you use a little ashes in the last soil mix for flowering(of course bigger pots will help you keep your plants green longer).I think you can improve your recycled soil,it need something more:)

Thank you, unfortunately it is not private but i hope no one will find it:)
worse thing is that the rain does not stop these days,Balkans are under water,it is real disaster:(So i expect much mold on the second garden:(the jungle is too bushy, much moisture there and not enough sun and wind:\i can't and i won't spray with anything against mold(i think it wont help)...Don't want to add anything bad for nature like insecticides, ferts and stuff. When i see how some growers are spraying chemicals in the wild(sometimes in national parks too) just to ensure their crops i'm getting pissed!!!!

Ina,
There are things you can spray that you don't need to feel guilty about. And with ferts, add something organic to replace what you take from the soil.

For the fungi, you can spray baking soda [bicarbonate of soda], or better yet Bicarbonate of Potassium. Or you can use Actinovate if you can get it, and there are other things, like very fresh EWC ACT. These things are acceptable for organic production. No need to suffer heavy damage. Good luck. -granger

I am not sure where to post this so here goes nothing. I started growing aeroponic then DWC finally coco. I am starting to dabble in organics. I have worm bins going & fermenting my first Bokashi now. I grew a Blue Thai via aeroponics & took clones. I grew those out via DWC & coco. The taste was very bland blueberry in all the mediums. I recently grew GCS & the taste was amazing. I just finished a clone of that Blue Thai in coco and I sampled some green. The taste is amazing a wide palate of fruity Blueberry notes with a tinge of Thai. I thought the GSC taste was due to genetics. I started using worm compost tea with the GSC. I also used it on this B.Thai clone and I would occasionally water in some molasses. I am sure the great taste is due to the organics. Oh I also gave the BT a couple of doses of bat guano tea. I stilled used AN junglejuice cocogrow on both plants & flushed.

I have read post about the better taste but I did not think it made this much difference. I am not even totally organic yet so it may get even better.

it does get better.... no one whose smoked what I do can argue with the clean flavors, and when I grow the exact same clones as someone else, I ALWAYS get stronger cleaner flavors... in some cases, you wouldnt even think it was from the same exact genetic...

Organic soil makes all the difference in the world when it comes to getting the plant to pronounce an accurate terpene profile...

I can't count the times I've had people assume the flavor in the flowers I've gifted was "impossible" and it "looks real good but must have been sprayed with something" ... ROFL.
