Donald Mallard …Let’s just say that my keeper of his Nevils Haze x C5 Mango 🥭 Haze is paying the bills around here …this next crop is already spoken for at $2400 a pound & those are very good New York dollars!

In the never ending cold War of nevil vs sam neutral first hand info is tough to find. StEven hager can provide an accurate time line. There is no way the seeds nevil bought from sam were repros made in Holland. Whatevwr sam sold nevil was irreplaceable genetic material. One progenitor of haze carries an allele coding for cytochrome p450 enzymes which create monterpenols instead of monoterpenes. Here are some quotes from article and link for his blog.

Beautiful, colorful dope. I may be making seeds now in my NLD grow. NL version of OHSK, and a male narrow leaf OHLP. I will try to save some pollen from that plant and maybe hit some Seedsman OH with it in the next run.

May be I should offer or share the seeds you have sent me back here in this thread. Ask somebody to reproduce them and sent them to gypsy.
To make something positive out of them. :)

I would love to do that repro and send them back to you and to Gypsy for the Server, but im in the process of relocating my ass.
It would take a couple of months before i could receive Seeds from outside of Europe without the high risk of some losing stuff.
If you would like to share them and see your Haze work continued, preserved and shared, i could and would like to step in later this year

Sacrilege is to consider things that are hazy, not Haze.
Or to call things Haze that are not hazy. :)

Your approach is positive. That is what matters.

Seedsman too (SamS OH), was not recommended to work with as called hay by almost everybody. Seeds sold for 20$ a pack.
But if you don't do the things differenlty fom the others, you will never have different results from the others.
Therefore go for it, that's exactly what is needed!
I am using OT1 too.

The only reason that does speak against your plan , is that ACE will probably do the same. But if you do it for passion and you love and know well your own lines, who cares?
As we need also to preserve diversity in 2022 in addition to the separated lines, if we want the Haze sustainably preserved.
And you will be contributing exactly to that.

Certainly hope Ace does. They have the ways and means. I’ll take a slice off that effort any day.

I have a question for hazeheads about node symmetry. Is NLD Haze usually symmetrical with node growth, or does it lend to unsymetrical nodes, where only one fan leaf and branch develop, versus two? Am I smoking too much and imagining such things?

This tent has symmetrical nodes and is fast:

This tent has unsymetrical nodes and is slow. Notice one branch that has the nodes symetrical.

I have some connections in Europe. Should be no problem. :)
It's two lines. The metal and the incense. Both peppery with clear highs.
Could be reproduced separately, but also together. Best would be separately.

The skinny leaf contest line SC loves so much is from the incense.
While the metal is what MadMac preferred from my Seedsman at first. He called the effect MDMA or XTC like, etc.

I have some mixed (green and purple) OTH from 2008, 2010 and most recently 2019. Also have some fairly old seeds direct from dubi labeled OTH Green Haze (compact & early) and OTH Green Haze (tall & long). Still have a few of the Meao Thai x OTH from the original release (both green and purple) and then another a number of F3’s of Purple OTH x Meao Thai straight from Ace using different Mom’s as selection. Throw in a few remaining THH and OH plus possibly some of these newer Johnny’s on the way (wink). I’m contemplating a pack of Todd’s and Mac’s. There should be enough to keep me busy for a while.

Good luck finding that green male. He’s allusive as I’ve only had one or two males in all the OTH pure and crosses I’ve popped over the years. None worth keeping in OH and THH. I did have a green (appearance) OTH male that I mad a few seeds with last year. Crossed with a few different NLD types. If I run across another one at some point, I’ll do my best to get some pollen or crosses out there.

Hi UHn,you've been unlucky.I had two different males out of 4 seeds of Green Haze i sprouted, one was faster and more bushy, the other one was slow flowering and taller.I did find three males in the x i made, only sprouted the progeny of the fast one but i made seeds with both, you can find pics in the oldtimer haze thread page 117

They both sound like amazing lines of OH, Johnny. The incense flavors and metal effects. Brilliant.

Funny when we are saying not finding males is unlucky. They are out there but like Sam’s, Tom’s, etc. OTH leans more female than male. Took a look at your pics. Did you grow anything out from those two males? Suspect the longer flowering has more to offer. But just a guess.

That's helpful information...thanks. Star Crash (now Flower Power) sent me some seeds from the skinny leaf contest and I like to know as much as I can about the line's lineage, as I'm sure you understand. So these are Original Haze from Seedsman stock in the 1990s? I like how you distinguished the lines by flavor/aroma. What kind of numbers were you selecting amongst? Any other details would be appreciated. Thanks.

There is not only Haze in life.
But this is Haze related too.
As many have never smoked a Haze without this.
Hempy per exemple is one who has never. :D
