Aloha Tribesman! Happy 2013 Medicine 4 the People!
Aloha Tribesman... Check out this new product we picked up out of Grass Valley today... It use to be called SN14... OMRI certified... Talked with a representative this afternoon... For packaging consistency, and guarantee, now they slap a 12-0-0 on the label... However, their website claims, "It is hard to believe, yes, but SN 14 truly is guaranteed at 14% minimum. Our latest test shows an 18.58% nitrogen with 18.47% being water soluble. Most vegetable-based organic nitrogen fertilizers are around 4% to 8%, and most aren't even fully plant available, which is the real key to rapid uptake and immediate growth response." While talking with a Biodiversity representative over the phone, they claimed that new tests results has placed their product at 19.4% - Even "higher!"
For more test results, case studies, testimonials and pictures check out their PROOF BINDER @: http://sn14organicnitrogen.com/docs/proofbinders/sn14-proof-binder.pdf
At any rate, we purchased a 50lb bag... At a rate of 1 teaspoon per gallon of water... It should last us a while. This season we will be alternating between SN14 with Pure Protein Dry in consistent intervals and especially the day after a Calcium 25 foliar feed... That amazing nano-fish has been working its MAGIC - love that organic Cod Amino Acid Protein Hydrolysate aroma!!!
Here are a few immediate highlights I pulled from SN14's website:
SN 14 is derived from vegetable-based amino acids. It is over 90% organic matter. SN 14 is an amino acid form of nitrogen aka "Protein Nitrogen." Typical amino acid fertilizers are slow releasing, and do not provide the 100% PAN (Plant Available Nitrogen) that SN 14 provides. This is what makes SN 14 organic high nitrogen different. It is 100% plant available.
"Soluble Organic Nitrogen is a sweet and savory smelling yellow tan powder. Soluble
Organic Nitrogen is also an excellent source of amino acids. Amino acids form short
polymer chains called peptides or longer chains either called polypeptides or proteins.
Amino Acids are effective chelating agents and activate phytohormones. This product is a
readily available plant food source to increase growth and vitality of growing plants.
Organic Nitrogen is highly soluble and may be mixed with other fertilizers and organic
amendments."
