Yeah the psychiatrists dug them out of that, psychiatry is the modern equivalent of selling indulgences, but slightly redesigned to appeal to atheist "science" crowd. Not matter what evil you've done, are doing or plan on doing, if you've got the money then there are enough psychiatrists out there to make up circular logic, mumbo jumbo excuses and justifications for you to get you out of any hot water you might end up in.
Last time I read about Hinckley Jr they said he lives near Williamsburg VA & likes to hang out in seafood restaurants, usually alone, but he chats with the waitresses. That was in the Washington Post a few years ago, so who knows how reliable it is, but if anyone wants to stake out seafood restaurants in Williamsburg to try and meet the guy, don't forget to ask him what kind of weed he smoked in the 70s.

I have alcoholic neighbours who do this. They hate my guts but wave a greeting to me as we pass on the road.
Why do they do this? Why do they greet someone they hate?
The answer is: to make that someone do something! even if it's only waving a greeting back. It's to get a reaction so that they can believe they control their opponent.
