Hi all, these were potted up on tuesday which i think is about day 1 of flower... took a bit longer to show sex than i would have liked and they were starting to suffer a bit. Sulked for a few days but looks like they are settling in now - 4 girls of each cross. They will be joined by a 'special guest' which is potted up but i wanted to veg it in for a few days.
As for sexing plants and repotting them to smoothly continue into flower... 3 litre to 11 litre is what i did here and the 3l pot is a bit too small... so i will try some bigger ones (than 3l) next time if i can find some suitable ones that i can still fit in the cab.

Nice little box VG.

I recently built a small one myself called the boy box for my males...

I've been watching your gear for years and should really buy some as you're one of the last breeders asking an honest price.

Looked at the London Rhino on real G.
What was special about that cut? I was never really a fan of Rhino due to the flavour. The high was savage but the flavour let it down..

Hey @HalfArsedFarmer - thanks !
TBH i am no expert on WR in general.. but this cut i have is quite 'cheesy' smelling (AFAIK that is not a typical Rhino smell) with a fruity edge and is actually a very tasty smoke, in an old-school kind of way... often tastes of moroccan hash, very satisfyiing smoke. Potency is good but not as potent as some of the modern cuts. Roots very fast and is 'commecrial'
But it also seems to cross very well and increase potency, hence that i have made a few crosses with it lol. it really seems to bring something as it were... TBH i didn't even know it was a lost 'named' cut for a couple of years.. but i loved it to smoke and saw how well it crossed to the bubba..

Thanks for the reply bud. You've sold me with the Rif hash taste.
I love old blonde...
As for potency, I smoke for enjoyment not to get fucked every time I put a pipe or vape in my mouth.
I find myself a lot of the new lines hit hard but have feck all about em, 30 mins if you're lucky....
I'll keep tabs on the thread & ask Santa real nice...

The Rhino D has that Rif hash taste.
Yes i'm the same.. the bubba is also not the strongest but has a similar very satisfying smoking experience.
that said, the Gorilla Bubble is VERY potent and a good resin producer so i'm quite excited about that cross.
The BDR ('blue' line to 'white ' line) has been done a few times before but hopefully that is because it's a winning combination...and nice to be able to cross it to my own little 'blue' line....

so, we are at 2-3 weeks with the White Rhino crosses.. they are hopefully just finishing stretching and have come on well in their new pots after a bit of sulking.
BlueDigiRhino :

2 more BDR, one of these is much shorter and fairly different to the other 3 (which all look similar so far )

And the Gorilla Vs. Rhino:
GVR12.jpg
GVR12top.jpg

These second two aren't looking so good. The one on the right has been slower to take off again after repotting, and the on on the left... i stupidly dropped one of the other plants on it and broke a branch off, and i think possibly snapped a few roots because it doesn't look happy. I'll give it a few more days to recover and see....

Hey thanks @Mars Hydro Led ! - i'm just back after a week away and the plants did ok in my absence - light up to 75% today ... the BDR have stretched a little more and i'm running out of height again but they look happy for sure - at about 4 weeks apart from the Pine Tart Gush front centre:

Need to tidy the wires up lol. The BlueDigiRhino are back centre and right and the shorter one front left. all look great.
The Gorilla vs. Rhino... two look really nice and are packing on resin (i hoped this cross would be a resin monster) but the other 2 don't seem so happy and i think maybe they don't like the soil so much.. will try and work out what it is but in general all is mostly going well this run. proper pics in a few days.

in other news, the fading on the Contra D last run was (99% sure) caused by fungus gnats because i found a load of dead ones when i took the light out the other day. Glad i have the definite reason now and i hope to have fewer problems with them moving forwards because the garage roof no longer leaks and i have partitioned off a little room at the back. Its also a by-product of having to use capillary mats when i go away which keep the soil too consistently wet ... but i'm on it now and buying nematodes to nuke them before they become a problem (hopefully)

Yep @aliceklar they are THE best antidote to gnats for sure! - i remember talking to you about how i thought they were too expensive and that i wanted to produce them myself... and you told me some pretty gruesome details about how that was done.... suddenly they seemed like much better value lol.

I also use crushed mosquito dunks on the soil surface and dusted onto the wet soil on the holes on the bottom of the pot. Also tanlin drops. But yeah nematodes are the ultimate ! (the packet says use them all in one go but i eke them out into 4 treatments quite successfully.

I also think the bud rot on the first run might have been caused by dead gnats stuck to the resin - because strangely the buds right infront of the fans were the ones affected .

Yeah, likewise I normally divide them into multiple batches and apply over a few waterings. Have not had a problem with gnats since I've moved to using coco, though.

HI all, lets have a look at these plants then...about 4 weeks
First up the BlueDigiRhino.. tallest first - one thing i notice is that this plant has glandular trics on the main stems, the leaf stems, and the fan leaves produced during flower ! - this has come from the BDB i think, some of the F3s have this trait - and very nice to see it carry into this cross. I need to get the lighting better for the pics

And the second tallest - this has the stem resin but not as much..

third tallest BlueDigiRhino: no stem resin but still very frosty already:
BDB2@4.jpg
BDB2@4closer.jpg
BDB2@4nug.jpg

and lastly the shortest one... which is quite a bit shorter and looks different in other... and it seems to have the same heavy stem resin as the tallest !
