Room is cut and all hanging now. hoping i can rent a pallet jack to move my kiddie pools on pallets from veg into bloom; otherwise im gonna be moving them "roman style" on dowels / conduit.

also, im (temporarily) sporting my "new mod" avatar; paul blart mall cop with dreads - I would like you all to thank seaf0ur for putting in work and picture editing the dreads onto mall cops head.
:thank you:

Puffed some early cut (early week 9) and uncured but dry enough Lime Cookies Bubba. flavor is very very bubba like, but lots of complex fruity / berry / citrus notes mixed with the funky earthy dank kush. Qualities of the SMELL of the bud correlate to the FLAVOR, which is one of my ALL TIME favorite traits for cannabis to have (to smoke how they smell).

Separated a new lacto-bacillus fermentation made using lambs quarter and dandelion, tested Ph of the fermentation, came out around 3.5 (which im told is about spot on).
Also, had a family member whip me up a comfrey & nettles ferment, just got it in the mail and luckily it didn't explode in the box. starting to feed these to veg now.... also feeding alfalfa sst's to veg lately.

yer a good sport about it though....

My jug-o-ferment is still rotting away unnoticed... looks like it'll all break down to a gallon finished...

I filled it with dandelion, nettles and comfrey but didnt use lacto or anything.

any particular reason you didn't use lacto? if for NO other reason it would probably reduce the stink factor of the process & finished product.

a friend of mine locally was making some homemade fish fertilizer (basically just letting them rot in some water in a bucket, sealed up. I gave him a jug of lacto, he added it to the fish juice and commented how after 24 hours of lacto being in with the fish it not only smelled slightly less horrible but also liquified the fish (bones and all) beyond recognition (as if you couldn't recognize it by the stank).

i have to ask... what kinda fermented stuff are you already making? feel free to post up some of your (hopefully deliciously edible) fermentation recipes... I've been wanting to do sourkraut or kvass; kind worried i wont eat them and it will go straight to the compost pile.

this week i'm fixing to harvest some lemon cucumbers out of the veggie garden... they are my favorite for sandwiches & pickling. already been eating tons of salad greens & cooking greens (collards, chard, beet, some odd furry / spikey asian cabbage), yellow squash, all sorts of tomatoes, and some herbs (basil, rosemary, parsely). first time i've been settled enough (stable enough) to have a veggie garden since i've moved to colorado, so it's a really sweet feeling to finally be growing veggies. I was raised by (my parents, who are) vegetarian artists doing the whole "back to nature" thing, reading foxfire books, making traditional crafts, and of course growing their own food; so a veggie garden is a place I feel very at home in... some of my earliest memories are of hanging on a parents back eating raw asparagus.
In the past, when i felt the sting of black market vibes (people i knew snitching on each other), i stopped growing cannabis for a couple / few years and went full veggie gardener. I really missed growing herb during that time and went pretty deep on the veggie gardening during that time.... like i said, it's a really sweet feeling to have a garden for food again.

it's my understanding that any of the liquid by-products or products of fermentation can be added to compost pile to accelerate decomposition - that is if it is not overly salt (maybe some krauts?).

btw, chili paste just went to the top of my list of fermented foods to make (i had no idea that chili paste could be a product of fermentation).
I've been making a lot of hot sauces lately; a watermelon hot sauce made with some ghost chili and a peach hot sauce made with habanero.

My favorite recipe for chile paste paste season:
Spicy jimmy nardello's , jalapeño, Thai, and Arbol chiles. Preferred just garlic and salt addition over garlic and ginger. Made several pints last year. Going to be making quarts/gallons this year. I've posted some pics of my tomato game in my outdoor thread. Get some up of everything when I'm back next week.
Chi town. Bored and without medicine.

Usually just had made dried chiles. Loving the fermented goodness.

Love gardening glad I don't do any of it for profit. Adding garden able space all the time. Cover crops and worms for da win

Very nice avi those Rosie calyx shots look freaking awesome! I am with you on when smells translate to the taste they are usually keepers for me as well. That's why my lime cookie cut has been kept because she taste exactly how she smells and she has great potency to go along with it. She is definitely weed u don't wanna walk into a store with because everyone will know you have some dank on ya... Lol

Can't wait to hear what you think of the high and cure when when she is fully donzee. Hopefully the bubba male was able to lower the flowering time because my lime cookies cut u can take at 70 but I like her more at 77 days.

Got some more beans coming down shortly I suspect some winners or maybe straight HERMS lol because some are fem beans and also there is chem d linage in them and we all know the d will herm easily. But anyways here's a list and maybe a eagle can land some.

FEMs
Cory stardawg x platinum cookies x chem d x platinum cookies

Chem d x platinum cookies x lime cookies hybrid

Glue x chem d x platinum

Old blueberry sativa cut x glue

Regs so far

Ogkb 2.0 x chunky pigs ogkb male(just found out he made the same cross lol) scoutbreath he is testing them now so I guess we can see if there stable by watching his grow log. Lol

Cory stardawg x platinum cookies x chunkys ogkb male

Cory stardawg x plat x flo-scout.

Forum x platinum x ogkb chunks male

And there is a shit ton more pollinations I did just gotta make sure they took when I pull the plants in the next 10 days or so.

THP has some pretty tasty sounding recipes. There's a traditional kimchi recipe there somewhere too by a user named KoreanSoul. Best thing that ever met a bratwurst ;)

started dry trimming the canna-tsu and cookies.
unfortunately i found some small spots of mold inside a couple cookies colas...

the last 10days to 2 weeks of flowering were in the 100's here, and since we have chopped and hung the plants the weather has been very mild but VERY humid (60% for about 10 days now, scattered showers everyday). I think i may have started to get a touch of the mold pre-chop in the WARM and dark (i was running only 8-10 hours of lite in the room the last week of flowering) grow room, then cut and hung the high humidity allowed it to grow a lil. luckily i caught it when i did before it spread badly. only lost about 10 grams of top nugs - thank god.

will have some finished pics of dry nugs posted up soon.

if i didn't know better i would label this strain "trainwreck" smells so much like it... very trainwrecky indeed - all sweet citric pine

^^ Glue

picture.php

^^ Lime Cookies Bubba - I love that striped look the calyxes get, red color calyx and white trich stripes.
imo this is the standout strain this round, not only super frosty (just about as frosty as the glue if not AS much) & colorful, but a deep and complex kushy flavor with sweet berry under(over?)tones.... super dank and i gotta bigup Mikenite for making the seeds.

^Lime Cookies Bubba before the trim

^^ Buddha's sister - probably the MOST DISAPPOINTING strain this round... she is cut. strain is worn out - she has been thru alot with me; 3 locations covering 400+miles, and the police "raid"... time to let her go.
