Very nice work, Miles. I'm in awe.

The Twista is very narrow leaf, unusual. How did you come by her?

clone from a good friend, professional horticulturalist in NoCo (goes by Nordman on the mag, but is barely ever on or only lurks), same guy who gave me the cali connect cookies. supposedly its the sativa that TGS won 3rd place with at the 2014 cup....

thanks for the kind words, jhhnn

That is some crazy thin leaves on that Twista for sure. Those g13 x bubblegum look stretchier than I thought a cross of that would look like too. Killing it in there.... no big deal

i've been told that using the wheatberry sst early in flower will "delay senescence" prolly why mine stretched so hard for so long before budsetting, next time only alfalfa in early flower (early for triacantol and other alfafla benefits) and wheat/corn in late (im told in late for auxins).

there's a lot of nug in that forest :smoke:
:yeahthats kinda what I was going for.....
:woohoo:
:tiphat:

I'm starting to take some plants down this weekend, all the Buddha's Sister, the one Ravnus, all the plants in smaller containers under a 600w hps; 3 glues, 2 canna-tsus, and what I believe is the last of the blueberry lemon larryland cookies (thanks mikenite!).
Ive decided to keep the lime cookies around and cull the blubrrylemonlrryland (can't keep 'em all around).

Holy shit them's jam packed in there!

yhea, perhaps a bit too tight, but i'd rather be on the "jam packed" side of things than having empty space... imo light hitting the soil is a total fail, especially organics & in soil beds. my canopy this round is between 3 & 4 feet thick, maybe closer to 2.5 feet "thick" or "tall" in the centers of trays where i thinned heavily where less light would penetrate and i anticipated more stretch (should have been anticipating even MORE tho...) in the middle of the beds, centered beneath lites. Outsides of beds i left thicker/more crowded/taller because of "overlap" light from the next bulb over, some decent buds flopping into the hallways at this time.

Seems like the few times I've done it well enough to fill the space early that it encourages stretch because of competition for light. Buds on the lower branches aren't necessarily much, either, if they don't get much light, if the canopy is too thick top to bottom. It seems like I wasted veg time when that happens. Looks like you're doing great with the density you have in any event.

Your trim technique is a lot like my own, iirc- nobody will accuse us of being anal retentive, that's for sure, so you probably won't make any more work out of it than necessary.

Your move to the Western Slope seems to be working very well indeed. After some of the travails you had in Metro Denver, I'm really happy for you.

Hey avi looking amazing! Damn that macro though! Hey I know we can't keep them it's all good hopefully that lime cookies bubba turns out to be a Keeper for ya though. How is she smelling this round still the same? Hopefully she has stayed stable so far and can't wait for the smoke report on the finished samples.

smell is similarly funky and fruity, definitely MORE stank to her this round, buds are dense as hell on the LimeCookiesBubba this round, even ones 24" from the bulb (and perhaps even farther) are HARD & dense and super frosty. as for stability... I've peeled back my nanner peepers and have been vigilant on the hunt for hermies, none so far that I've seen.... altho it's pretty hard to get INto the canopy to really look, all i can check is the outer few feet.

Def im keeping the LCB around for a while, also giving it out to some select people... I wana see how she acts in other peoples rooms, different environments and nutrient regimes/styles; organic/synth.

made a dent in the room today, cut the buddha's sister tray down, and plants from under the 600w; Bluberry Lemon Larry Cookies (ithink?) and Canna-tsu, still have to cut the 3 glues that were under the 600w.

Gave everything a corn sprouted seed tea the other day aside from that it's been nothing but water since i gave them earth ambrosia & earth nectar (a combo pack of enzymes, microbes, liquid humic and other gooodies) two weeks ago.
water from here on out.... prolly another 10 days or so, maybe 2 full weeks more. Plants are showing NO signs of fade, save some lower underleaves dying, tops are all still green, no "fall colors" yet.

so you're doing SST in flower? i've been wondering about that.

seems like it could be good timed right but i don't know enough about them and was nervous to do anything past stretch.

you've been doing the SST thing for a while right? would you mind sharing a brief synopsis of your general observations about how it's been functioning in your garden?

although you're probably all carpal tunnel hands from trimming up those pretty flowers right about now so take your time responding....

haven't hardly cut much of the room and shits just hanging now, not ready yet to dry trim yet. wet trimmed a little bit when first cut, hardly took an hour even...

my experience so far (lil over a year) with sst's is they work well in veg and if used correctly, timed correctly (i'm just now learning) can work out well... i use them equally for the plants and for the soil, conceptually. I'm told that the auxins in corn are beneficial for "finishing", and I've decided to give it a try this time. This is the first time I've used it this far into flowering (kinda based on simply sourcing the corn to spout in a not-so-timely-fashion). I've meant to set a schedule of sprouting, blending & using immediately... in a cycle like so i've constantly got seeds sprouting, seeds sprouted and ready to make a tea of, and a stock of more dry seeds to soak, sprout and tea up.

I'm excited to try more and different seeds for sprouting.
I'm all ears, what's your experience using them, HB?

I've used them as the water component for everything for quite some time... I use it throughout without any negative effect I've seen thus far. If anything, it seems to stay beneficial no matter when its applied.
