I thought the OG Kush was a pretty low yeilding strain. So if the Chemdawg is one in the same....2500 watts=4-6 lbs. sounds like a fairly large yielder to me. I'm just trying to remember from some of the Kush threads I've read. Nuggler

Your right Nuggler, thats a great question for Chemdawg. Because it looks like Chemdawg is a large yeilder(looking at the High Times articule) and OG is a light yeilder.

I can't wait to read the rest of your reports Smokey,I've got a chemdog x chemdog d lady about two weeks from harvest that is looking very pretty. I've been fortunate to have had sampled the dog and most of her relatives and they all pretty much knocked my dick in the dirt. I find I can't get enough of the taste of the dog's either so I end up puffing wayyyyy too much,lol. Great job on the smoke reports bro.

but yea the dawg is a very good yielder or at least she has been for me...makes nice big nugs everywhere with great canopy penetration
the dawg and the og kush arent the same though...dont know how that got in there...

I could have swore that Chemdog said that OG Kush is just a cut from the Chemdawg sent out west and they just changed the name.I searched but couldnt find where I read this.After reading so many threads I could have easily been thinking something else.With Smokeys reply though it seems he was under the same impression? Anyways, sure you can maximize a plants yielding potential but to say that ANY strain can yeild big is just not true. I'm not going to attempt to school anyone on this BUT growing conditions, even if they are absolutly perfect for the most part and lets say you put them in fairly large pots, you still can only get as much growth and yeild as genetics will allow. whats up guys....Danknuggler i said a cut of the orig 91 chemdog cut went out west and the fellow that had it always thought it was pure kush well his cut stressed out and hermd he got two seeds and he started them one died one lived he grew it out and said if the nyc kids can change the name to diesel then he was going to name his version the OG Kush because it reminds him of Kush. Those yields that hightimes talks about are from other strains like Chemdog D which is a phenotype of the orig. I do think it matters of the condtions because i know people who get 2 oz per plant with chemdog D in 5 gallon buckets and i have one person who gets 4oz in the same buckets but does things a little different. but i do have to say it always yields for daddy. Anybody ever get 3oz of the OG?

interesting stuff, very good smoke report SmokeyPufmaster i love those dank intense strains. am searching for some diesel magic as a keeper mum myself at the moment. i've got 6 Sour Diesel v3 plants and 8 Basic Diesel plants. once i know the males, i'm planning to clone all the females and do a test grow to find the keepers.

trust me man genes dont really matter much when it comes to yield...even strains that people think are low yielders can be done up huge.
i know people getting 1 pound from tw per 1kw then i know folks gettin 2 lbs and i nkow people puttin 50 urkles sog style under 1k and getting .75 lbs and i know people putting 12 plants and pulling 2 pounds of purple urkle...

I think the chemdog x chemdog d I've got is going to be a nice yielder. It's hard for me to compare yield per plant as I grow in 20 oz containers and pack em in but with almost two weeks left to go I would guess there is at least an oz on the one plant and it's still swelling. I think I'm only going to be able to grow one plant per month though of her because she is a bit of a smelly bitch. Mmmmm,smelly and oh so sticky, I think I'm in love. Chemdog bro, give me a shout sometime, ya gotta check this lady out. Peace. RD

Sitting here very early this morning smoking a sample of double dog. I had one small bud that I pollinated that I picked yesterday, the rest of the plant goes tommorow. It's not really an early morning pot,lol, kinda hard to choke down first thing but man oh man nothing like a lil lemon rocket fuel to kick start the day.
