Right there is the reason why root growth in water is so vulnerable. Add in root pathogens that can spread to all roots, temp problems that can effect all roots, n the pump failure problem. Its the fastest growth available, but can be a quick way to total plant/crop failure too. Glad u had some back ups! Smart thinking smelly. Every once in a while u surprise the hell out of me with that intelligent thinking.
