Word, thanks!

Nope, we were thinking he was born on the 25th, but on the 22nd I talked to my friend I got him from, and HE said it was the 21st, so we missed it! :( But no matter, he's SO spoiled that it wouldn't have been that much of a different day for him!

Norcal is moving methinks, it might take him a bit to get some free-time/internet account moved....

Weird Shit.... We went to see a "Centur Plant" in Westhaven today, said to take between 15-50 years to bloom, then they shrivel up and die!! WTF?? Agave Americana It's HUGE! And they say it's only like 1/2 way as big as it will get!

That's the whip, where can I get one???

It almost looks like a fiddle head fern in the first pic. I thought you were messing with us until I saw the last few.

some ppl use the botom part of the trunk to make drums once its dead and dry.

Agave Americana

Mebbe they have a spanish relative? Or the taxinomist that named it was "working" over here when it got it's name!

You eat fiddlehead ferns? I saw a whole bank of them just the other day @ College Cove... [a beach around here..]

the agave americana is natural in spain since the 16th century :D guess it liked the climate also :D

its original from mexico like all other agaves :D

is the fiddle head ferns the ones that taste like licorice? we had those bakc in sweden when i was a kid :D

yeah bro: a lot of the upscale/poshy restaurants in the city that do the whole organic local produce thing add fiddleheads to the menu in early summer......a little butter and salt in the sautee pan and your in for some tasty crunchy greens.........it taste more like celery but i could see some varatiels maybe coming across with hints of licorice or eucalyptus......

sidenote: take our trees and leave us with disease and christianity...........we lose on that one.......haha

Those plants are very abundant on the Croatian Coast as well I have seen many in a place called Split. (mediteranian climate) They have vibrant red blooms and I was told flower only once every 100 years (probably an exageration) after which they die off.

great update Hella Fella.

things look good in there eh? as you say when limited on space better too small rather than too tall eh?

keep up the fine job you're doing, can't wait to see the buds when finished.

Man, growin' 'erb is just so FUN! And Fullfilling! Watchin all my friends get smoked out and them giving "feedback" about how damn good some 'ish is! It's nice....

Things get tedious sometimes with the labor of it, growin' alot makes for alot of pruning, transplanting, cloning, mixing, cleaning, spraying, etc..... It IS alot of work.....But DEFINATELY worth the output....! I'm a bit crunk tnight and that's just my :2cents:!
