Heres a volcano crater lake thats a 25 minute drive from my place ,
ive been there a lot lately given the hot weather ,
its delightful ,
and a lot warmer than most of the river streams
which currently are quite short of water given them late start to the storm season ,
it has its own crocodile , but he s a shy fella and is no bother to anyone ..

Habitat. Generally a shy animal, the freshwater crocodile is not dangerous to humans, preferring to stay well away. If cornered or harassed, however, they will retaliate fiercely, and their sharp teeth can inflict serious injuries.
yea lots of wild life for sure ,I have mates at mossman and julatten, awesome place up there to poke around looking for wildlife, so many different habitats you can get to in a day, we are pretty heavy in to reptiles but I still give a puddle a wide birth up there, those big mud geckos still make nervous.
we dont see them where i am mex ,No Koala's in this thread or did i miss a page?

we dont see them where i am mex ,
there is rumor there are a few ,
but they are particularly rare ,
they are more a southern thing it seems ,
so no shots of them from me ,
one thing though ,
if you ever heard the noise they make
cute and cuddly would be the last thing you would think ,
sounds more like a pig on heat ...
the same is true of many aussie animals,
the dont sound much like they look ...
