Nice shots guys ,
thats a tiger i wouldnt want to be messing with ,
though i think both types are best advised to steer clear of ,,

cant recall what ive posted about these guys before ,
but given they first lived over 65 million years ago,
they are considered to be whats left of the dinosaurs ,

some of the places they inhabit , like the daintree for instance ,
are older than the amazon , boasting around 13 of the first flowering plants ,
among many other plants found no where else ..

Heres a volcano crater lake thats a 25 minute drive from my place ,
ive been there a lot lately given the hot weather ,
its delightful ,
and a lot warmer than most of the river streams

which currently are quite short of water given them late start to the storm season ,

it has its own crocodile , but he s a shy fella and is no bother to anyone ..

lastly a few shots from the wet sclerophyll forests that borders the rain forest ,
a friend is renting a property there ,
its some of my favorite forest due to the massive trees ,
and there seems to be animals from both the wet and dry forests ,
it has it all going on ...

haha ,

he just eats fish mex ,

just dont poke fun at him though ,, lol .

Habitat. Generally a shy animal, the freshwater crocodile is not dangerous to humans, preferring to stay well away. If cornered or harassed, however, they will retaliate fiercely, and their sharp teeth can inflict serious injuries.

That's a healthy diet then.As a croc wouldn't eat humans too when i see what some people put in their grocery basket lol

I have mates at mossman and julatten, awesome place up there to poke around looking for wildlife, so many different habitats you can get to in a day, we are pretty heavy in to reptiles but I still give a puddle a wide birth up there, those big mud geckos still make nervous.

No Koala's in this thread or did i miss a page?
we dont see them where i am mex ,
there is rumor there are a few ,
but they are particularly rare ,

they are more a southern thing it seems ,
so no shots of them from me ,

one thing though ,
if you ever heard the noise they make
cute and cuddly would be the last thing you would think ,
sounds more like a pig on heat ...

the same is true of many aussie animals,
the dont sound much like they look ...

The sound can't be more worse as my formal neighbours wife.

Some youngsters nowadays are bloody morons.

good morning gents ,
well ladies if there are any , but i think there are few reading this page ,

heres a shot from the recent bushfires ,
they dont get so bad where i live , the bush is different ,
and we get our fires early usually , then it rains ,

though the rain is fairly late this year ..

picture.php

also a shot of a local waterfall ,
i havent been to this one , but i know where it is ,
so once we get some rain to get her flowing again ill go suss it out for sure ..

it looks to be flowing into a volcano crater , which given where it is could be quite likely ..

they suck harder than an empty water hose ...
