The wild life is incredible down the FSC. Being in tune with it takes it to another level.
Unfortunately I have had to come back to the big smoke for work, hopefully not for to long. I miss the wild life.
Now it is just the ferals.
It’s amazing how nature adapts. Snakes & frogs. If only the snakes could learn to lick rather than eat they would be a lot happier.:bigeye:

Here's some nature shots from around my place and the Euro was in Alligator Gorge S.A.

Alligator Gorge South Australia.

Euro (Alligator Gorge). Had never sen Euros before. They're as big as the inland Red Kangaroo. They can go like rockets over broken stone. Like ... over Talus scree ... if yer know what I mean.

I debated for a while whether to include this because the plant is exotic ... but the stripey bee is as local as they come. Queensland Uni just discovered this bee. We've been watching it for years. oh well, can't beat local knowledge.

Yeah, lots here. There's one with iridescent blue ... but they're so speedy I can't get a fix on it with the camera. And we get the big buzzy one as well. He can be heard coming!

Mate ... here's another pic we took in that Gorge. It shows fossilised sea shore ...
Geologically speaking this part of S.A. is very old. The Flinders Ranges a bit further north are older. While the iron ore country of W.A. is even older.

Sand Goanna

Sand Goanna

It's been frequenting our garden digging up sand frogs and moth larvae. digs these bloody big holes that I 've got to go fill in again. It's about a meter long. not aggressive. just sits and looks at you. silly, it'd be dinner if we were Indigenous!

I don't reckon our indigenous folk were very fussy eaters
