Its is a nasty thing. It would be nice if the states all of California's homeless originates from would do a better job at caring for their mentally ill. I bet most or more come from a conservative town or city that would rather jail or abuse them than feed and cloth. The homeless problem in some cities is just as much a sign of how cruel some places are as it is how forgiving the places they have gathered are.

Interesting program. Cities could incorporate this policy and yoyo families/individuals around the country but still provide basic housing.

I wonder if an option might be pooling the money, purchasing land and creating communities based on production which could provide a living to the occupants. e.g. forest management/harvest, farming, value added production/manufacture, call center and/or assembly contracting. That could be an interesting experiment.

Russians tried that.

What an anti-American Confederate holdover sounds like:

I think we should end the Federal Governments control on states. If one state wants to legalize heroin, great!! I won't raise my kids there and the junkies will flock to that state. :) If Virginia wants to outlaw guns, they can! Just, they will receive no help from the National Guard.
*I* think we should have done away with the “sovereign States” bullshit more than two hundred years ago: at the very least, it should not have survived the slaver rebellion.

*YOU* (OTOH) prefer a junk-drawer “nation” in which the pieces are autonomous and merely exist *next* to each other. You don’t want a country, or a nation: you want Redneckistan: satrapies, tiny fiefdoms, with nothing in common with each other except occupation of the same land mass. Some “nation”...with pieces displaying all the ways a NON-federal government can make their population scream. Wouldn’t take long before you’d need a passport and a visa to drive from Texas to Arkansas.

Honestly, I genuinely doubt you’d like such a ‘government’ unless you had friends *in* it to pull strings for you. Call it the United Squabbling Shits - or the United Selfish Assholes. I’m sure the rest of the world would keep a respectful distance while you and your thought-leaders destroy what’s left of a once-great, once-liveable country.

I get that you want both the Confederacy (*FAR* more restrictive and controlling than our current federal government) and the *FAILED* Articles of Confederation...I hope you don’t get either of them.

California wants to end free speech give free healthcare and sex changes, sounds good to me, I live in New England. :)
Just a line to call you an effing liar. Swallow whatever you want: don’t try to force-feed it to ME.

If Texas wants to build a wall and California does not, sure why not?
Sure: states acting like separate nations and pretending they’re “together”? What could POSSIBLY go wrong?

Maybe keep the FBI, but they will only be used for interstate drugs, guns and criminals, but fed law is dead, no longer can the DEA arrest you for drugs unless you are caught bringing them to different states.
Those states are going to need money. Under your notion, they won’t get it from the federal level, so they’ll have to tax their residents (they may no be ‘citizens’ under your scheme, but you don’t care) to run themselves.

First thing you need to know is that they will NOT raise taxes on the money: the money will rule; the NON-rich will be made to carry the tax burden - just like they do now. You’ll love it, I’m sure. There will also be no federal in your bizarro confederacy, so states will simply take what they want, whether it’s from residents or neighboring states. A real “free man’s paradise”. A COMPLETE about-face on the Founders, the Constitution, and our entire history. What a real American....

It would be a great way to keep everyone happy and prevent the left vs right hatred. Really there is a lot of talk about Civil War which will destroy this nation no matter who wins. Millions of people would die, children will get scurvy because some would try to make their enemies starve. The economy would definitely tank and Russia and China would be the new America only much worse. Really Civil War would be about the worst thing for the world, well besides a 3rd World War that would leave billions dead and the environment would be far worse than anything global warming could do.
Semi-heartwarming to hear how much you don’t want a civil war: you must have figured out it wouldn’t be winnable for your side this time, either.

Your statement that it “would be a great way to keep everyone happy and prevent the left vs right hatred“ is the the stupidest thing I have ever read: EVERY BIT AS IMAGINARY as Hayek’s “free market economics”, which is also bullshit.

You “know” a lot of bullshit: of course, Russia would *never* capitalize on the mess they so massively contributed to. I’m sure they would “adopt” the US to keep us from not paying them back with everything.

So. You don’t want it to come to a fight. You just want people to throw over everything they know to believe you and your fairy tales & THAT will make EVERYTHING so much better. You think....

At one point States rights trumped fed law, of course the first Civil War ended that tyrannically. Sure I'm glad slavery was abolished, but it started over tarrifs not slaves and it gave DC dominant control over states rights. Brought in fake money and all that bullshit. Is what it is, but I think George Washington was the man! We can do pretty good as the Slightly Divided States Of America. Lol, you like warm weather and your liberal California or conservative Florida or Texas. :) It's a big country, plenty of land, no reason to fight over it, nobody will win.
I almost admire the forthright way you spill your ignorance: when the fed had no influence over the states, we were on the brink of becoming a failed state. The Articles of Confederation were completely inadequate, and we adopted our current constitution. A black day in US history, according to you, but it wasn’t the Civil War that did that - it was our elected representatives (to the extent they were actually elected at the time).

You also spout the fictional “tariffs, not slaves” bullshit. I doubt anyone could believe that shit unless they decided to - and that would be purely political. Your avoidance of history, and your reliance on falsehoods, makes you even worse than an unreliable narrator - more like a blind rooster who crows whenever, ‘cause *dawn*, motherfucker!

If you don’t have the integrity to learn the truth of things, then all we can really hope for is that this shit you throw gets you into serious IRL trouble. Might get your attention. But probably not.

What did the Union really win? The North got fucked too, we're also controlled by DC.

Given that the rebel slavers were returned to the union as if it had all just been a drunken singalong, and virtually no punishments were imposed on the rebels, I’d say we made big problems for ourselves, the same way we made problems for ourselves by taking sides in brown-people fights: here and there, the losers have never given up their hate, their resentment, their animosity.

We’ve allowed these active antagonists to pretend they were loyal citizens until we’ve reached the point where they’ve filled the Congress and the courts with America-hating Confederates. At this point, the government - except for the House - is in the grip of those Lost Cause traitors who are determined to destroy the United States of America.

I know you can’t see it. You’re on the Know-Nothing Bullshit Express, of course you can’t see it...but I bet you’ll see things much clearer when you find out which side you’ve actually been on.

Too late then, though. Shoulda gotten smarter sooner.
There is still time for you to educate yourself about important history, still time for you to wake up and take action...but I’m betting you’ll just let that chance go.

Given the number of gun-wavers who’ve TRIED to start the “Patriots’ Revolution” and *failed* (*not* reported on fake news, so you probably never heard about them), you might want to reconsider just how unhelpful your Narnia map is going to be should the shooting ever start in earnest.

You might want to evict the imaginary “liberal” your opinion-makers have installed in your head: if you fail to do that, you’ll be walking blind into a very bad situation - believing you know JUST what’s going on. And if you keep following their script so blindly, you’ll end us all up right where they want us.

But sure, Einstein, blow. Blow HARD

TDS is real, no doubt about it.

Sadly, I agree...but I doubt we agree on what that means: to me, ‘Trump derangement’ speaks to the way y’all’s embrace of Trump and the sewer he rose from has caused your brains to fly outta your heads, you parrot what you hear (I know you think you’re “speaking truth” but it is robotically monotonous), you NEVER wonder if YOU have YOUR facts straight, you NEVER investigate your own side except for political ‘crimes’, and you’re NEVER off script.

I have spent my life listening and talking and discussing and debating. Those with Trump Derangement Syndrome are incapable of accurately evaluating and responding to the world around them in *every* matter where #IMPOTUS is involved even slightly.

By the time y’all wake TF UP you won’t have any slack left at all...’bout there now

Yeah, Their home owners insurance companies are going to be thinking the same thing when they try and weasel out on paying.

Several insurance company’s have quit writing new homeowners policy’s and are cancelling people based on their zip codes, forested areas are hit the hardest.
A guy that delivers bulk water to us when our well is not keeping up was one of them.
He has 20,000 gallons of water stored in tanks on his property, a sprinkler system on his roof, and backup generators to run the system.
He is also a volunteer firefighter.
Hartford Insurance cancelled him anyway, not sure which company he ended up with. Most have to get policy’s 2-4 times what a “normal” policy would cost
So, instead of 2,800-3,800 for a $350,000 property, it’s in the 5k-10k range. With no gaurantee of renewal.

I believe many Republicans are corrupt including Mitch McConnell. It's not a conversation I'm going to have with people like you who obsess over Trump and the Republican party 24/7. You think I'm team Republican, I don't even consider Trump a Republican. If Trump provides a strong economy, positive trade deals, and just about everything else he campaigned on then I will be satisfied. I stopped listening to your warning signs after years of the Russia nonsense and always chasing the next scandal. I believe you just want your party in power by any means necessary and you won't change my mind.
